Taipei's Temples, Taiwan
I visited 70 different temples during a recent 4 day trip to Taipei .
I discovered that Taipei is truly a city of temples. There are the larger vibrant temples bustling with people like Longshan Temple as well as the local shrines hidden from the main tourist paths. Each temple is unique and beautiful and well worth taking the time to find and see. From the small smoke stained gems crushed between buildings to the larger temples with dragons perched upon their swallow-tailed rooftops.
Nearly every temple has a censer (large container for holding incense sticks) stood in front. If the temple is very small it will have one on the altar. If the temple is enormous it will have multiple censers. The censer is usually the easiest to see sign that you have discovered a temple. Each one has the name of the temple engraved upon it and a few even have dragons faces which can be fierce looking or comical. Most of them have at least two dragons clinging to their sides that watch over the incense offered with prayers to the gods.
The gods themselves are situated directly behind the altar which itself is behind the censer. Often there are 'lesser gods' watching prom the sides of the temple as well (some of them are hipster cool with their sunglasses).
Most temples are dedicated to Taoist deities but there are also temples dedicated to Buddhist Bodhisattva, local heroes, spirits, Dutch naval officers and even hell gods.
Each temple is elaborately decorated with dragons and carvings, ponds, golden painted ceilings and stunning decorations.
While I was in Taipei, everyone was celebrating the Moon Festival. Many of the temples were having street parties and every person I met was friendly, often going out of their way to show me around their temples, pointing out the hidden alcoves which housed local deities, and explaining everything (although most of it went over my head as I don't have anything more than the most basic grasp of Mandarin and I don't speak any of the Taiwanese dialects). Still there were so many friendly people willing to help me and guide me to the next temple.
On a side note, Xingtian Temple no longer uses incense so no longer has a censer. It is attempting to reduce its environmental impact and go green by not burning incense.
Special thanks to Mark and Penny! Thank you for coming with me even though it was raining heavily and you were nearly blown away by the strong typhoon winds. You both rock!

3. Scenery of Shen Wei
When the sun rises in Shen Wei, there are myriad of golden rays that break the silence of the dawn. In this quiescent slumberous morning, all beings are brought back to life and the soothing green landscape is exceptionally picturesque. Master Ji Gong smiles to receive the four seasons dwelling on earth and Maitreya Buddha embraces compassionately all sentient beings with outstretched arms.

《庭院深深》Ting Yuan Shen Shen (Closing Theme Song)
《庭院深深》Ting Yuan Shen Shen
The closing theme song of a popular classic Qiong Yao series from the 80s.
THIS popular classic Qiong Yao series from the 80s is the very first and only show I had memories of watching when I was little ,maybe about 4 or 5 years old...
I don't quite remember the storyline but I know I loved it, particularly the melodies of the theme songs ,which stuck in my mind for 20 years!
The lyrics of the song is very poetic and nostalgic.
Hope to share it with everyone who loved it like I do.(^.^)

Dylan Wang, is a Chinese actor, singer, model and idol. He is best known for his first leading role as Daoming Si in the 2018 television series Meteor Garden, which propelled him to fame in Asia and China.
Wang was born on 20 December 1998 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province of China. He is a 16th-level flight attendant and poster model for admission at Sichuan Southwest College of Civil Aviation, and also apparently became a professional image spokesperson for flight attendants, all before he debuted in the showbiz business.
In 2016, Wang won the overall championship at the Sichuan Campus Red Festival (四川校园红人盛典), a ceremony sponsored by several universities and colleges, and officially entered the entertainment industry.
In June 2017, Wang participated in the Youku variety show Super Idol hosted by He Jiong, and emerged as the final winner. During that period, he was cast by Angie Chai in the 2018 adaptation of Meteor Garden as the male lead. Wang appeared in Harper's Bazaar China with his Meteor Garden co-stars Darren Chen, Connor Leong, and Caesar Wu in the November issue.
Wang rose to fame with his first lead role as Daoming Si in the 2018 television series Meteor Garden, the remake of popular Taiwanese drama series Meteor Garden and based on the Japanese shōjo manga series Boys Over Flowers (花より男子 Hana Yori Dango) written by Yoko Kamio.
In October 2018, it was announced that Wang would join the second season of Hunan TV's variety show The Inn.

MyInspireProject EP3 – Taiwan, A Home Island to a Wealth of Culture, Sensational Food and Nature
Our new episode is dedicating to our home town, #Taiwan, an island formerly known as Formosa in the 17th century and remains largely undiscovered by Western travelers. But for those who make it here, they are in for a real treat.
Taiwan displays a wealth of culture with an eclectic mix of Chinese, Western, Japanese and indigenous influences. We have invited Taiwanese actor and celebrity TV host, Yi Lee, to explore the #StreetFood Culture with us. And we were also honored to experience the new era of the traditional Puppet Show and Art with Pili International Media and Taiwanese designer Wang Li Ling. The biggest surprise of all, is Taiwan’s nature: from towering mountains, rushing rivers, tropical beaches and sheers cliffs on the coast. With no doubt, Taiwan is one of the most welcoming places on earth, as we encountered numerous acts of generosity and kindness throughout the journey.
Through our story, we would like to share the highlights of the new “#MadeinTaiwan,” and we hope this hidden paradise would attract more adventurous travels from the rest of the world.
