Sherman Tank - WW II Memorial - Sherbrooke Québec Canada
This regiment was mobilized for active duty
on the 27th of July 1940. It was the only force
in the Canadian army that was officially
authorized by national defense headquarters
to be raised by the combined efforts of one
french Canadian reserve unit Les Fusiliers
de Sherbrooke and one English Canadian
reserve unit The Sherbrooke Regiment. It
originated as an infantry battalion,
and in early 1942 while serving in Newfoundland,
was converted to an armored regiment.
In this form it took part in the first
invasion wave on Europe the 6th of june 1944.
The unit was demobilized on its return to
Sherbrooke the 26th of January 1946 and this
memorial is dedicated to the men who while
on its strength worked fought and died in
common glorious cause.
The Sherbrooke Fusilier Regiment tank Bomb of this
Memorial, fought from D Day to V.E. Day
and is the only tank in the Canadian Army with
this authenticated record.

Au Canada, ils ont aussi participé à la crise d'Octobre en 1970, à la crise d'Oka en 1990 et à l'Opération Récupération lors de la crise de verglas massif de 1998 dans la région de Farnham en janvier 1998.
The Sherbrooke Hussars (Sher H), littéralement « Les Hussars de Sherbrooke », est un régiment de reconnaissance blindée de la Première réserve de l'Armée canadienne des Forces canadiennes. Il fait partie du 35e Groupe-brigade du Canada dans la 2e Division du Canada. Son quartier général est situé à Sherbrooke au Québec.

The guys climbing a little hill on the Les Grandes Fourches bike path near Sherbrooke. This is on the section which generally descends along the Magog river towards Sherbrooke from North Hatley and Rock Forest. This is part of the Route Verte in Quebec. It is a great loop ride for a dayâÂÂs fun. It is also less than 30 minutes from Vermont. North Hatley charges money to park your car-so avoid the town parking lot!

The walk featured a discussion between Jonathan Lamy, Moe Clark and Rachel McCrum. They discussed Montréal’s cultural diversity, and reflected on the idea that this lively city can be a place of coexistence, in which tension and reconciliation can be felt and experienced at the same time.

The Underground City (French: La ville souterraine), is the name applied to a series of interconnected office towers, hotels, shopping centres, residential and commercial complexes, convention halls, universities and performing arts venues that form the heart of Montreal's central business district, colloquially referred to as Downtown Montreal. The name refers to the underground connections between the buildings that compose the network, in addition to the network's complete integration with the city's entirely underground rapid transit system, the Montreal Metro. Moreover, the first iteration of the Underground City was developed out of the open pit at the southern entrance to the Mount Royal Tunnel, where Place Ville Marie and Central Station stand today.
