Jiri Bhandar to Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal | A Complete Trekking Details
Everest Base Camp Trek has always been the most emotionally touching for me, this time we again trekked on the classical trail starting from little further than Jiri. Drive to Bhandar was 10 hours bit difficult but then the trek was amazing everyday. 23 days of our trek to Everest Base Camp was an unforgettable journey. Barry and i have trekked in this route 3 times together. Unfortunately, first two times, we could not make it to Everest Base Camp but this time we made it with all good health and good spirit. I call it the slow trek because we were walking half a days and resting well in the afternoon and everything went perfect. Barry, Wyane, I, Nischal and Narayan were so lucky to have the best weather even in January. January is the coldest time of the year in Nepal so its even more adventurous to trek but it didn't snow heavy on the mountain until we got back to Kathmandu. Thank you so much for watching the video, please comment below to give me feedback.

Exploring Kathmandu Nepal
So after my amazing Langtang Valley trekking, I had a week more in Nepal before I got my Tibet visa done, so i had the chance to explore Kathmandu, walking around the chaotic city, crashing a Sherpa's wedding, to see Durbar square and go on a local tour with Nepali brother Kusang! I also stumbled across things you don't normally see in the streets.

Everest Base Camp Trek Possible in 7 days? Nepal Documentary
On this trip to Nepal, I was able to fulfill a bucket list trip, which was to take a crack at trekking to Everest Base Camp. We went at the end of May and that corresponded to the end of the climbing season. Our group of four opted to make the trip without a guide. And we had about half the time as most package trips recommend. This video documents the whole experience from flying to Lukla from Kathmandu - and eventually back to Kathmandu. If you are considering making a trip to Nepal to trek, this will give you a good idea about what you might encounter. Chomolungma (in Tibet) in the Sagarmatha National Park (Nepal)

Everest ( 8,848 m ) has been a magnet for travelers ever since its opening to foreigners in 1950.

Nepal Mountain Bike - This is Mustang
Nepal’s Mustang is often compared to the fabled Himalayan valley of Shangri-La. Cut off from the rest of the world on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau, Mustang is a high altitude desert of rich red and ocher land, deep gorges, and the world’s highest peaks set against an infinite blue sky.
Mustang is home to an endless network of ancient trails that were once used by caravans carrying salt from the Tibetan plateau to the great plains of India. In the heart of the Mustang lies the world’s deepest valley, carved by the wild waters of the Kali Gandaki river between the two giant mountains Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
Follow Rob J Heran as he explores the solitary trails of Mustang through magical villages and mystical monasteries.

The World's Most Epic Trek [TRAILER] Starring Hunter | Jayson | Bryan
On 26th May, 2016 Jayson, Hunter and I made our last 2 hour leg from Gorak Shep, a small settlement towards Mount Everest Base Camp sitting at 5,364 metres (17,598 ft) on our 5th day departing Lukla. God surrounded us with beauty. We trekked along the rocky terrain of the Khumbu Glacier with a temperature of 40F (4.4C) dropping to 29F (-1.6C) at night. Trekking on the peaks of the world’s highest mountains was constantly a tough challenge both physically and mentally. Perhaps even emotionally.
At high altitudes the sunlight was intense, cold winds buffetted from every direction and the difficulty breathing leaved a headache awakening each morning. However there is nothing to trade for this incredible experience with my brother Jayson and his friend Hunter. It amazes me that snow leopard prints have been spotted at these elevations including red pandas, Markhor lock horns and Yetis. Yes, there has been Sherpas we personally met and interviewed claiming that this is not a myth with 2 known Yeti Skulls physically presentable in monasteries enroute to EBC. Coincidentally Animal Planet just premiered on May 29 an investigative journey about the mysterious Himalayan biped known as the Yeti in “Yeti or Not.”
Along our accent towards EBC, we met up with a Sherpa guide who just summated Mount Everest for the 10th time. He was exhausted, but grateful to live. We congratulated him and exchange personal details.
We finally arrived at our destination alongside the Khumbu Glacier of Everest Base Camp. The pile of rocks sitting at our feet with prayer flags of the infamous Khumbu Ice Fall in spring is home to some 30 teams (hundreds of climbers and support staff) aspiring to climb to the summit of Everest. Within minutes after taking pictures/interviews, Jayson, Hunter and I further explored the Khumbu Ice Fall and the region around Everest Base Camp.
As night fall approached, we glanced towards Camp 2 and spotted two climbers returning to EBC in the far distance. Jayson and I reached the opposite end of EBC to celebrate our success. I notice that my footing was deteriorating to the condition of an intoxicated Irish, but Jayson and Hunter kept tabs on me. Hunter decided to return to Gorak Shep for the night. I only started falling in love with this beauty on Top of the World. I discovered the Khumbu Ice Fall water source for EBC while meeting two Sherpas. One was the coordinator for one of the Everest climbing teams. I warmed up some water with my portable stove while listening to his stories.
It was nearly 22:00h when we looked at our clocks. Darkness had fallen upon Everest Base Camp. Jayson and I were forced to use our head lamps to start making the trek back to Gorak Shep. Being a photographer, I was in shock of the beauty of night fall here and took my sweet time. The full moon shined down and marked our trail while millions of stars sparkled above. Without time being a factor, we returned to Gorak Shep at 07:00 in the morning just minutes after sunrise. Jayson and I stayed up 25 hours straight. I could not believe the energy that was charged within us. After saying goodbye to the family at Buddha Lodge, we prepared for our departure in a Eurocopter AS350 B3 helicopter that would take us around Mt. Everest and the Gokyo region. This would also give more time exploring Kathmandu and Pokhara in our last days in Nepal. Little did I know that the flight plan would shatter my dreams on returning direct Lukla due to time the pilots had for us.
I cannot fully begin to grasp what I just experienced these past 2 weeks, but in my own pictures and film I hope to share as vividly as possible. The breathtaking beauty of the snow-covered peaks, the unmatched generosity of the local villages, and the sense of peace and contentment that came with slowing making one’s way through the many foot hills of the Himalayas. It was an experience that will stay with us forever.
And that’s the beauty of experience. To truly know it, you must live it.. allow it to mingle with your soul and become part of you.
Porters & Their Equipment on the Everest Base Camp Trek | Trek Tips
➤ In the Khumbu Valley, there are no wheeled carts of any kind. All the many villages' supplies must be either carried by a porter or a pack animal. In this video, Dean talks a little bit about what goes into the amazing feat of hauling supplies up the Khumbu Valley on the way to Everest Base Camp.

Manaslu
Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world at 8,163 metres above sea level. It is located in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalayas, in the west-central part of Nepal. Its name, which means mountain of the spirit, comes from the Sanskrit word manasa, meaning intellect or soul. Manaslu was first climbed on May 9, 1956 by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu, members of a Japanese expedition. It is said that just as the British consider Everest their mountain, Manaslu has always been a Japanese mountain.
Manaslu at 8,156 metres above mean sea level is the highest peak in the Lamjung District and is located about forty miles east of Annapurna. The mountain's long ridges and valley glaciers offer feasible approaches from all directions, and culminate in a peak that towers steeply above its surrounding landscape, and is a dominant feature when viewed from afar.

The Darker Side of Three Sisters Trekking in Pokhara, Nepal
While it is true that Three Sisters Trekking in Pokhara, Nepal helps underprivileged girls from the mountains of Nepal by training them as trekking guides and providing them with a way to earn a living and better their lives, there is a darker side to this company. Through their NGO, Empowering Women of Nepal, the Chhetri sisters collect donations from around the world, ostensibly for supporting these young girls, but when I met Jean-Luc Perrotin and his wife, Sabine, they had a different story to tell about their experience with the company. At first committed to the cause, they donated large sums of money to the agency. Gradually, they became aware that not all was as it seemed. The children were living in difficult conditions, without even socks and jackets in the dead of winter. Yet, when the Perrotins purchased jackets, they later learned from the girls that the jackets had been confiscated by the sisters. They also realized that only a small portion of the donated funds were allocated for the girls. Where does the rest go? Perhaps to build their hotel, or their trekking company office, or their huge new personal residence, which is the largest home in all of Pokhara. Please listen to this interview with Jean-Luc before you donate to this NGO or use their services. To read about my perpetual round-the-world travels, visit my blog,
