Welcome Video
You will find us in the East Midlands to the east of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, U.K. We are a long established heathland course alongside the pines, silver birch and oak trees of Clipstone Woods within the legendary Sherwood Forest.
We are very proud of our reputation as one of the oldest and finest heathland golf courses in Great Britain and are currently rated 95th best in the British Isles and 47th in England. The course was intially designed by Harry Colt and subsequently enhanced by James Braid.
The English Golf Union, when staging the 2006 England Boy’s Amateur Stroke Play Championships, described Sherwood Forest Golf Club as being 'in a league of its own'. As a premier course the club has hosted many national competitions over the years, including the 'British and English Seniors' and regional qualifying for the 'Open Championship'.

Places to see in ( Worksop - UK )
Worksop is the largest town in the Bassetlaw district of Nottinghamshire, England, on the River Ryton at the northern edge of Sherwood Forest. Worksop is about 19 miles (31 km) east-south-east of the City of Sheffield.
Worksop is also twinned with the German town Garbsen. Worksop is attracting an increasing quantity of commuters to the local area because of its close proximity of Nottingham, Lincoln and Sheffield.
Worksop is known as the Gateway to the Dukeries, because of the now four obsolete ducal principal sites of which were closely located next to each other, south of the town. These four ducal locations were; Clumber House, Thoresby Hall, Welbeck Abbey and Rufford Abbey.
Worksop lies on the A57 with links to the A1, M1 and A60, allowing goods to be easily transported into and out of the area, explaining whyWilko and B&Q both have distribution centres in the area.
Worksop is on the Sheffield-Lincoln line, with trains to Sheffield, Doncaster, Meadowhall Interchange, Lincoln, Retford, Gainsborough and Shireoaks. The service is run by Northern. Worksop is also the terminus of the Robin Hood line to Nottingham and Mansfield, a service run by East Midlands Trains. At weekends Northern rail run additional trains to Cleethorpes via Worksop.
Mr Straw's House, the family home of the Straw family, was inherited by the Straw brothers, William and Walter when their parents died in the 1930s. Clumber Park, south of Worksop is a country park, also owned by the National Trust, and is open to the public.
The Acorn Theatre is a 200-seat performing arts venue in the town centre. The Regal Centre has been taken by local businessmen, Martin Gilfoyle, Steve Broadbent and Chris Frampton to provide live entertainment and recording studio facilities including professional live music and arts performances and arts training courses and social support services. This is Worksop's only prime entertainment venue. The Savoy Cinema was opened on 23 March 2012.
( Worksop - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Worksop . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Worksop - UK

Notts Golf Club (Hollinwell) - 13th Hole - Signature Hole Series with Your Golf Travel
Want to play this course? Click here:
The 13th hole at Notts Golf Club is a demanding par 3 which stretches to over 240 yards in length from the championship tees. Played from a significantly raised tee, this amazing hole features banks of yellow gorse running down both sides of the hole, and a reasonably well protected green. While the old adage that golfers “drive for show and putt for dough” rings true from time to time; this one’s all about the tee shot. Hit a solid one and a par is a realistic score. If you miss though, this hole can be punishing.
Mark Crossfield shows you how to play this beautiful golf hole.

SHINE Appeal 2018/9
We're continuing to raise money for our SHINE appeal to create and sustain free community youth theatres for children between 8 and 16 across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Generous donations made by audience members mean we were able to run nine community youth theatres in Bulwell, Mansfield, Sherwood, Sneinton, Chilwell, Bramcote, Gedling Netherfield* and *Gedling Newstead* and at the hospital school at the *Queens Medical Centre. Over 120 children, who otherwise would not be able to afford to, now have the opportunity to work together to create theatre, grow in confidence, learn life-enhancing skills and discover their unique voices to tell their own stories.
Why Food At The Dollar Store Is Really So Cheap
How are dollar stores are able to sell food for so cheap and still turn a profit? The answer to that question is a calculated formula that dollar stores have devised to keep prices low, and we're going to break it down.
Location is the name of the game in business and if a company wants to be in the busy part of town it's going to cost them. However, it's not uncommon to see dollar stores in lower-income sections of a city, or in a totally rural area. It's a smart business move, and choosing to operate in areas that Target, Walmart, or Whole Foods won't bother to go has proven highly effective for the growth of dollar stores.
Opening and operating in these areas is simply less expensive and this helps keep prices down. Many dollar stores don't buy the land their stores are on either, which means that if they're not doing well, they can just pick up and move. If a Dollar General can keep the lights on and skip out on the pricey property taxes that a Publix is going to pay, it's going to be able to sell its food for much cheaper.
