Medieval Gold Sapphire Ring 15th Century Agincourt c. 1415 AD
Aquarius Antiquities presents this beautiful medieval gold and sapphire finger ring, dating to the late 14th or early 15th century. This ring would have been of the type worn by a knight or rich merchant from the period known as the Hundred Years War. This period saw England and France in a bitter and drawn out war. King Henry V defeated the French at the battle of Agincourt in 1415. This ring would date to that period. It is a large size 9 and weighs around 5 grams. This would have been an expensivering when originally made by a goldsmith some six hundred years ago. Indeed this ring is still suitable for wear today and can be found as part of our inventory of stock for sale. aquarius-antiquities.com
