Cycling & Shigira Beach - Miyakojima, Okinawa (2016) !
Our second day in Miyakojima!
We went cycling (which I highly recommend around the small island, as it's very quiet and has very few cars), and to Shigira Beach. Shigira Beach is where my snorkeling video was taken, and it's a really beautiful spot!

Miyakojima is officially one of my favourite places in Japan! The beaches there were so amazing and editing this video made me miss it so much. I am definitely looking forward to going to Okinawa again!

located just in front of our Stunning beach on Miyakojima main island, Kurima Island is a small inhabited atoll bound with a bridge to Miyako and has a few hip eateries and this small but very safe and secluded place for snorkeling!! someone was feeding them so I got nice views of many fishes but in not so good quality because my Huawei P20PRO doesn't work well with a Baseus waterproof case to film the cute fishes. All photos are taken by Miki because it is impossible to take photos under water with the Huawei because once the phone is submerged, it will not react to any touch commands. So you can only film video and start filming before you dip it in the water! Also what makes things extremely difficult is the moment you dip it in the ocean, the waves will touch the surface of the screen and your commands will go crazy, it will join in 10x times, it will change the phone mode, it will try to take screenshots, it will not film sharply, it will not adjust to a correct white balance.. it was horribly hard to get the footage that I got so far! Come here with a dedicated Underwater Camera or maybe the newest Huawei P30PRO supposedly waterproof!

My favorite snorkeling spot on Miyako ????️ Island!! The ocean was calm and you could float in place, the fishes were many and swimming around you curious to see what you have to offer. some parents were feeding them so that the kids can observe well so I took a chance to get nice video. All photos are by Miki????????♀️who even went so far to find a sea turtle and follow her and dive together and get nice photos. I didn't because I had enough of a hard time without swimming fins and with a malfunctioning phone because of an inadequate waterproof case so it was actually quite hard to film anything under water...but I would love to go again to this location and there is actually a big resort located near it! All on main land Miyakojima!

My husband and I partnered up with the Okinawa Marriott for two nights while we were in Nago, Okinawa and it was such an incredible experience. We felt incredibly pampered during our stay and had the best time just hanging out at the hotel/taking photos/vidoes (it was actually very romantic). As a content creator, sometimes when we travel, we’re able to provide photos, video content & social media exposure/consulting in exchange for accommodation. It is a lot of work (which is why I’m talking so fast in this vlog lol), but it was totally worth it for this hotel. A little bit about me - I'm a content creator on Instagram, YouTube, and on my blog at AudrieStorme.com living in Orange County, California (originally from the San Francisco Bay Area). I started posting outfit of the day (OOTD) photos on Instagram about two years ago when I was living in Dallas, Texas for work. A trip down to Okinawa to do some sightseeing that was affected by a typhoon. Not to be stopped by natural disasters I set about recording it all.
