The irony of this stroll through history is that both the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China on Taiwan under Chiang Kai-shek only claimed the Diaoyutai/Senkaku Islands about 1970 after a report suggested that the surrounding seas had oil. To date, no oil has been found. The main resource interest today is fishing and clearly the fishermen in northeast Taiwan have a vital interest in these seas. Fishing talks between Taiwan and Japan are stalled and one might suggest that Taiwan's pushing its sovereignty of the islands, its support of so-called private boats going to the islands well as the apparent tacit agreement between China and Taiwan over the islands (despite Taiwan's denials) have made progress in the fishing talks more difficult.

〈囍事〉Double Happiness
延續董雅卉臺灣特種「黑羽雞」系列皮件創作。在臺灣，黑羽雞在起家入厝、新婚喜慶等時刻是不可或缺的賀禮元素，因此藝術家對雞有種幸福的聯想。此次在白晝之夜的創作，將結合對於臺北中山北路婚紗街的觀察和過往描繪，以淘汰婚紗與布料再利用的環保概念改製，透過開放式服裝創作以及配件搭配跟民眾互動，體驗幸福時光Double Happiness的dress code。蘇世訓將手繪出具溫度感的畫面，並與空間及服飾結合，共感呼應滿有歡樂與愛的同溫層。
This is an extension of a series of leather works inspired by the black feather chicken native to Taiwan, which is an indispensable part of traditional wedding celebrations. Masa Tung links the image of this bird with happiness. This installation, created for Nuit Blanche Taipei, is inspired by the observations and past depictions of an area along Zhongshan North Road known as “wedding street”. Clothing and accessories are created in an open space which encourages interaction with the public and the opportunity to experience the Double Happiness dress code. Vincent Su creates warm, hand-drawn illustrations. In combination with the space and clothing, they respond to the atmosphere of joy and love.

董雅卉生於臺北。現任教於實踐大學服裝設計系。2004年獲第一屆日本高島屋國際奬學金，前往日本進修，展開圓夢奇幻之旅。擅長皮革布料與異材質結合，探究平面與立體間的可能性，傳達充滿驚喜的創作共感。
蘇世訓，日本國立宇都宮大學美術教育學系碩士。擅長視覺設計與繪畫創作。近年以其旅日十餘年的生活經與美感經驗，致力開發兒童美感教育課程，探討美學動能的影響力。
Masa Tung, Vincent Su
Masa Tung was born in Taipei. She currently teaches fashion design at Shih Chien University. In 2004, she was among the first recipients of a scholarship offered by Takashimaya and pursued advanced studies in Japan. She combines leather, textiles and other materials and experiments with two- and three-dimensional possibilities to create works that convey a sense of surprise. Vincent Su earned a Master’s degree in fine arts education from Utsunomiya University in Japan and focuses on visual design and painting. He is devoted to developing children’s esthetics curricula and discovering the influence of esthetics.

Line 1 (Brown):The Wenshan-Neihu Line connect through to each other: [Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center - Taipei Zoo]. The route utilizes four-car configurations, although the platform lengths allow for six-car configurations.
Public art: In the initial network, important stations such as transfer stations, terminal stations, and stations with heavy passenger flow were chosen for the installation of public art. The principles behind the locations of public art were visual focus and non-interference with passenger circulation and construction schedules. The artworks included murals, children's mosaic collages, sculptures, hung forms, spatial art, interactive art, and window displays. The selection methods included open competitions, invitational competitions, direct assignments, and cooperation with children.
Stations with public art displays include: Shuanglian, National Taiwan University Hospital, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Guting, Gongguan, Xindian, Xiaobitan, Dingxi, Nanshijiao, Taipei City Hall, Kunyang, Nangang, Haishan, and Tucheng. Stations with art galleries include Zhongshan, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Zhongxiao Fuxing, and Taipei Main Station.

The Kuomintang of China (, KMT; (sometimes spelled as Guomindang) often translated as the Nationalist Party of China) is a major political party in the Republic of China on Taiwan, based in Taipei and is currently the opposition political party in the Legislative Yuan.
The predecessor of the Kuomintang, the Revolutionary Alliance (Tongmenghui), was one of the major advocates of the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty and the subsequent declaration of independence in 1911 that resulted in the establishment of the Republic of China. The KMT was founded by Song Jiaoren and Sun Yat-sen shortly after the Xinhai Revolution of 1911. Sun was the provisional President, but he later ceded the presidency to Yuan Shikai. Later led by Chiang Kai-shek, the KMT formed the National Revolutionary Army and succeeded in its Northern Expedition to unify much of mainland China in 1928, ending the chaos of the Warlord Era. It was the ruling party in mainland China until 1949, when it lost the Chinese Civil War to the rival Communist Party. The KMT retreated to Taiwan where it continued to govern as an authoritarian single-party state. This government retained China's UN seat (with considerable international support) until 1971.
As of 1987, Taiwan is no longer a single-party state and political reforms beginning in the 1990s have loosened the KMT's grip on power. Nevertheless, the KMT remains one of Taiwan's main political parties, with Ma Ying-jeou, elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2012, being the seventh KMT member to hold the office of the presidency. However, in the 2016 general and presidential elections the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) gained control of both the Legislative Yuan and the Presidency (Tsai Ing-wen).
The party's guiding ideology is the Three Principles of the People, advocated by Sun Yat-sen. The KMT is a member of the International Democrat Union. Together with the People First Party and New Party, the KMT forms what is known as the Taiwanese Pan-Blue Coalition, which supports eventual unification with the mainland. However, the KMT has been forced to moderate its stance by advocating the political and legal status quo of modern Taiwan, as political realities make the reunification of China unlikely. The KMT holds to a One China Principle: it officially considers that there is only one China, but that the Republic of China rather than the People's Republic of China is its legitimate government under the 1992 Consensus. In order to ease tensions with the PRC, the KMT has since 2008 endorsed the Three Noes policy as defined by Ma Ying-jeou: no unification, no independence and no use of force.

A writer-turned choreographer, Lin Hwai-min often draws inspiration from Asian cultures and aesthetics to create works with contemporary resonance. He founded Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan in 1973 and Cloud Gate 2 in 1999, and is currently the artistic director of both companies.
Honoring him with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009, the critics of the International Movimentos Dance Prize in Germany said Lin isa foremost innovator of dance and that he ranks amongst artists of the century such as William Forsythe, George Balanchine, Birgit Cullberg ....
In July 2013, he received the prestigious Samuel H. Scripps/American Dance Festival Award for Lifetime Achievement. The Festival states that Lin is, one of the most dynamic and innovative choreographers today ... his choreographic brilliance continues to push boundaries and redefine the art form. Previous awardees include Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham, Pina Bausch and William Forsythe. Lin is the first recipient based in Asia. He also served as the author for the 2013 International Dance Day Message.
Lin Hwai-min has received honorary doctorates from six universities in Taiwan and Hong Kong, the John D. Rockefeller 3rd Award, the Distinguished Artist Award from the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA), and the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters from the French Ministry of Culture. Among all the honors Lin has received, the Time Magazine named him in 2005 as one of Asia's Heroes.
1973年，林懷民以中國最古老的舞名「雲門」，作為團名，是華語世界第一個當代舞團。雲門舞作多以現代的觀點，詮釋傳統。「九歌」、「紅樓夢」、「行草三部曲」等作品，是台灣社會三代人的共同記憶。
雲門在國際備受讚譽。紐約、倫敦、柏林、莫斯科、東京、雪梨都是舞團例行公演的城市。倫敦泰晤士報說，雲門是「亞洲第一當代舞團」。
林懷民獲獎無數，包括德國舞動藝術節頒贈的「終身成就獎」，美國舞蹈節「終身成就獎」，里昂舞蹈節的「最佳編導」，紐約洛克‧菲勒三世獎，法國文化部的騎士文藝勳章，時代雜誌的「亞洲英雄人物」。
