The Water City | Gujo Hachiman 名水の町・郡上八幡
Gujo Hachiman, also known as the Water City! It's just about in the middle of Gifu Prefecture, and I highly, highly recommend visiting!! It's a mountain city with rivers running through the middle. There are koi fish everywhere, you can jump into the water, and the are tons of old-fashioned stores with awesome things to look at. I absolutely loved it!

Colorful fishes in Street canal at Japan
This is Shimabara City, in Nagasaki. Those are not drainage canals, they are streams of natural spring water. Even the larger river in the final picture is fed by natural springs. I lived on the banks of this river about a mile above this picture, and it was usually dry up there, but flowing in town. The more picturesque, wider sections of stream are on Carp Street, which is a tourist attraction.
Most of the the springs are cold (my bank had a natural drinking water spring in the parking lot), and though there are a few hot springs, there are no decent onsen in town. Which is fine, because it's a half-hour drive to Unzen, which has great onsen.
The reason for these springs is Mount Unzen. Some might remember Shimabara from the eruptions in 1991, which devestated the south side of town, and killed 43 people.

Onsen : Japanese public bath.I have discovered that Japanese onsen is one of my favorite things to do in Japan. When ever I travel to Japan I try to go to the public baths and discover new ones - all over Japan!. But I think that the experience at this onsen was an unforgettable experience. Which is why I made this video. Unzen Onsen (雲仙温泉) is a hot spring resort town near the peak of Mount Unzen. Not too far from Nagasaki, the area originally developed as a temple town that in its prime was large enough to be compared to Koyasan. In the Meiji Period, the town became one of Japan's first tourist resorts popular among foreigners, and a hint of Western influenced architecture can still be seen about town. Unzen Onsen's location makes it a good base from which to explore Mount Unzen.
The resort is surrounded on several sides by hot spring fields. Also known as hells (jigoku), these barren rocky areas are littered with billowing steam vents and gushing hot springs from which milky, acidic and sulfurous water bubbles straight up out of the ground. The hells were once used to execute Christian rebels after the failed Shimabara Rebellion, but today its spring water has the more pleasant task of warming up holidaymakers in the ryokan baths around town.

Unzen Onsen (雲仙 温泉) es un pueblo de aguas termales cerca de la cima del monte Unzen. No muy lejos de Nagasaki, el área desarrollada originalmente como un templo de ciudad que en su mejor momento era lo suficientemente grande como para ser comparado con Koyasan. Our visit of the Castle of Shimabara and some of its exhibits. Most of the relics seemed to be from the Shimabara Rebellion. This place is beautiful in later February for the plum blossoms, and late spring for the cherry blossoms.

Japan 2018 - Spring Trip to NAGASAKI
Video ghi lại chuyến đi 3 ngày 2 đêm của mình ở Nagasaki cuối tháng 3 vừa rồi. Dù đi một mình nhưng mình vẫn có một khoảng thời gian rất thú vị và thoải mái ở đây. Nagasaki đối với mình là nơi có sự kết hợp hài hoà giữa quá khứ và hiện tại, giữa thiên nhiên và con người. Mình vừa có thể cảm nhận được sự nhộn nhịp nhưng không quá xô bồ của một đô thị khang trang, vừa thưởng ngoạn những cảnh quan tuyệt vời trong tiết đầu xuân mát mẻ sảng khoái. Nếu có cơ hội đến vùng Kyushu của Nhật Bản thì đừng ngần ngại làm một chuyến đến Nagasaki nhé! ^^

Unzen Jigoku (“Unzen Hell”) where hot spring water and gases emit out from blowholes. White steam and a smell of sulfur create a hive of volcanic activity. Lots of distribution pipe convey the hot water to the nearby hotels or onsens.
It is a strong acid spring containing sulfur, known for its excellent antiseptic qualities and good for making the skin smooth and soft.

Mount Unzen & Shimabara Castle, Japan
Mt. Unzen is an active volcano made up of several overlapping stratovolcanoes. Located near Shimabara city, this is the hub of the area's volcanic activity. The mountains formed are breathtaking, and the local onsen were also formed thanks to this volcanic action.The volcano was also active as recently as 1990–1995. In 1991, the large eruption from Mt. Unzen's Fugendake generated a pyroclastic flow that killed 43 people, including three Shimabara Castle, situated in the center of the old town in Shimabara in Nagasaki Prefecture, Kyushu, is a classic example of the developed art of the Japanese castle with huge stone walls and deep moats. Castle's construction began in 1618 and was completed seven years later in 1625.
