Miyako Island (Miyakojima), located 300 kilometers south of Okinawa Main Island, is known for some of Japan's best beaches and as a great destination for diving and snorkeling in the coral reefs. The subtropical climate provides mild weather all year around.
The Beaches of Miyako Island
There are picturesque sand beaches for swimming and relaxing. While the beaches are open year round. Best enjoyable months are from April to November when the air temperature consistently tops 25 degrees and the water is very warm.
Sunayama Beach
With its beautiful white sand, clear blue waters and rock formations, Sunayama Beach is one of Miyako's most beautiful beaches. It is reached in a short walk over a sand hill from the parking lot. Its facilities include showers and toilets.
Access Information:
Miyako Island is a relatively small island, measuring about 25 kilometers from south to north and about 15 kilometers from east to west.
A rental car is the most convenient means of getting around Miyako.

2010年9月26日、石垣市民会館で行われた沖縄県立八重山高校の第4回舞台祭から。2年生による演劇（シンデレラ？）とダンスです。
舞台祭は3年に一度の学校行事として開催。今回は「日本の端っこでハイサイ！舞台祭！青春という名の夢舞台」をテーマに、生徒達の熱気あふれるステージが披露された。

ＡＮＡインターコンチネンタル万座ビーチリゾートにお泊りしてきました。万座毛～ホテル到着～ホテル内～ビーチ散歩～夜のホテル内～日の出～ビーチ水中撮影～日没
リニューアルしたばかりらしくとても綺麗でリゾートチックなホテルで超感激。ホテル到着からいろんなシーンを入れてみました。
部屋からのオーシャンビューが最高です。大人はオーシャンサイド側のほうがいいかも。^^v
チャベルをバックに日の出の感動的な「天使のはしご」や夕日から日の入りのシーンも見られて超幸せでした。

Here's a little sneak peek at Shavasana on a SUP board.
I love practicing and teaching Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga and we can practice year round as during the colder months I use an indoor heated pool and boards designed for pool use.
Classes are small with up to 8 on your own board, tethered front and back so you don't bump into each other.
Focus on core strength and stability as you find your balance on the board, if you fall in its only water, have a giggle and jump back on the board.
