Prof. Mladen Burazerović Shihan is Acting President of AJBA and one of the Founders of AJBA. He is Master of JuJutsu Seishinkai 5.DAN with title Shihan awarded by Katsumi Okubo Soke, and Master of JuJutsu Daito Ryu Renshinkan 5.DAN awarded by Takase Michio Shihan. He is also 4.DAN Aikido Aikikai awarded by Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba, and 5.DAN in Aikibudo awarded by Alfonso Torregrossa SoShihan.
Mladen Shihan is Professor of Physical Education and Sports, and also Master of Sciences in Physical Therapy.
Mladen is also the Founder and Chief Instructor of Daishin Dojo.

第57回全日本合気道演武大会の様子です。
船越先生の最初の剣の演武が大好きです。場が閉まりますし、気合が入ります。
最初に演武を拝見させていただいてから研究を重ね、船越先生の触れずとも投げる演武は私たちの合気道の『延長線上にある』という考えに至りました。
論理といたしましては、まず合気道では相手と触れ合う『前』が非常に大切だということです。たとえば手を持たれてからや殴られてからなど、触れ合った後にどうこうするのでは技として遅すぎます。
ゆえに自身を整え、おかれた環境を理解し、間合いを管理して自分の有利な状況下で技を施す必要性が出てきます。これはいわゆる技に入るための準備段階なのですが、この準備段階をさらに発展させその状態において（どうにかして）技を完結させてしまうのが、触れないで投げる技の正体だと考えています。
しかし、私自身は未熟ため（どうにか）の部分の理解が及ばず再現には至りません。私は船越先生の演武を通じて、触れない合気道の完結を目指すのではなく、合気道の準備段階の大切さに気が付いてほしいというメッセージを受け取った気がしました。大変勉強になりました。

So in understanding the martial arts from Japan it's important to know about the distinction between kobudo, which is the older traditional schools of martial arts in Japan, primarily before the Meiji era and the schools that came out after that which are more of the gendai budo which is the modern martial arts school of those with the more of your modern karate schools and aikido and even jiu jitsu schools and then you have the older kobudo schools which still have lot of the elements of battlefield, tactics, weapons, katana and various other studies in them and its very important to understand the evolution from kobudo to gendai budo or the traditional older schools of martial arts in Japan and then the new schools of martial arts in Japan as it relates to ninjutsu training.
