Shiogama, located in Miyagi prefecture in Tohoku, is one of Japan's most important fishing ports and one of the busiest fish processing centers in the country. Shiogama Fish Market with its 140 stalls, is a very popular fish market and offers the best seafood all year long to both businesses and to the public.
Like in many other fish markets in Tohoku, it’s possible to pick-up whatever fish you want to create your own and extremely fresh Kaisendon (seafood/fish rice bowl) for about ¥400.
Finally, the city of Shiogama is also famous all across Japan for having the most sushi restaurants per capita in the country!!!!

Today, during my special trip to Miyagi to try Harvesting ( you can check Luxurious Tuna Rice Bowl & Rice Ball ) i ate at lunch different kinds of seafood at Shiogama Fish Market like sea urchin, Oysters, tuna and a lot more, all that is so high in calories . it was so delicous and amazingly tasty in really luxurious way !!!

Oggi vi porto con me in una delle piccole cittadine sulla costa colpita nel 2011 dallo tsunami. Shiogama ha uno dei porti più importante del Giappone. Il mercato del tonno è florido qui si può comprare e mangiare dell’ottima qualità ad un prezzo davvero basso. La cittadina ha il più alto numero di ristoranti di sushi paragonato al numero di abitanti più alto di tutto il Giappone.
