On the northern tip of the Ryugu island and the southern tip of the Ogasaki Wing an approximately 18 meter, 53 ton female Right Whale was found dead and washed ashore.
February 9th 8:30am
The floating body of the wale yet remained.
By chance this is the very spot where TOSHI-LOW did the video shooting for the OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND's 「Yume no Ato」 promotion video.
The Stranded Whale:
One of the reasons for these types of occurrences can be small changes in tidal patterns caused by earthquakes, typhoons, or other unknown inconsistencies. Under these conditions whales have been known to become confused and wander into shallow water.
One month after the whale was discovered the massive Earthquake struck off the coast of eastern Japan on March 11th 2011 at 2:46pm.
With the cold rain pouring down on her as she drifted along the coast, what was this whale trying to tell us?
