Torii Gates at Nezu Shrine - Tokyo, Japan
I thought I wouldn't get to see the beautiful vermillion torii gates unless I went to Fushimi Inari in Kyoto, but I was wrong. I found a mini version in Tokyo at Nezu Shrine.
I got there at 9am on a Monday, and you can see right as I finish, a tour group was arriving. I actually walked through it starting at the end, but by the time I tried walking through again, it was packed.

Lake Biwa is a naturally formed freshwater lake in Japan and it is located in Shiga Prefecture. It is the main source of fresh water and other nourishments for most residents of the Kansai Region. It is considered as one of the oldest lakes in the world and has been mentioned in the ancient Japanese literature. One of the cruise boats on Lake Biwa is named Michigan to celebrate the fact the city of Otsu has close ties with State of Michigan (Lansing in Michigan is considered as a sister state of Otsu).

We went on a bus tour to Shiga and had a great time. It was our first time on one of these tours and I must say, it's really chill. Everything is perfectly mapped out for you, you don't have to do anything yourself. Then again, where's the adventure in that ay?
We'll be going on another little trip soon though, one of our own and we're really excited!

「漆」作品の多くに見られる豪華で精緻な金色装飾のほとんどは「蒔絵」と言う技法で加飾されております。「蒔絵」は漆（弊社では合成のネオ漆を使用）で文様を描いて、漆が固まる直前に金属（多くは金）粉を振りかけ付着させて、文様を金色に浮かび上がらせるものであります。

Shikki-kashoku (decorative lacquer ware). Natural lacquer is not easy to use for those other than professional craftsmen. However, in this workshop experience, we can enjoy using synthetic materials to create small items that result in the same appearance as in the natural lacquer process. Decorating lacquer items with designs is a frequently used technique called kashoku

Draw the design with synthetic lacquer, then sprinkle overtop it
with gold powder using a powder tube. Once the synthetic lacquer has hardened, the surface is polished until the gold-colored design beautifully emerges.

Blue pond [Winter Nature] Travek Biei Hokkaido Japan 冬の青い池 美瑛 北海道旅行
It is a blue pond in Hokkaido Biei.
Winter's Biei is very cold, so when going to a blue pond, I think it would be good to have a good cold protection.
When I went there, snow was piled up in the blue pond, so I could not see the state of the blue pond, but the river flowing next to it was a little bit blue and I could see it beautifully.
By the way, the blue pond is also lit up at night, so you can enjoy a fantastic atmosphere with a very beautiful lit up at night.
Since there is a place called Shirogane Onsen within 10 to 15 minutes by car, I think it is also very good to heal fatigue in the hot spring slowly after the blue pond sightseeing is over.
There is a blue waterfall called Shirahige waterfall which is very beautiful at the place of Shirogane Onsen, so I think it would be nice to see a beautiful waterfall before entering the hot spring.
北海道美瑛にある青い池です。
冬の 美瑛はとても寒いので、青の池に行く際にはしっかりとした防寒具を用意しておくといいと思います。
今回行った時には、青い池には雪が積もっていましたので、青い池の様子を見ることができませんでしたが、隣に流れている川は少し青くなっていて綺麗に見ることができました。
ちなみに青い池は夜になるとライトアップもありますので、夜の中でとても綺麗なライトアップで幻想的な雰囲気を楽しむことができます。
車で10分から15分のところに、 白金温泉というところがありますので、青い池観光が終わった後にゆっくりと温泉で疲れを癒すのもとてもいいと思います。
白金温泉のところに、しらひげの滝と言う青色が鮮やかな滝がありとても綺麗ですので、温泉に入る前に綺麗な滝の景色を見るといいと思います。
