One Hundred Sixteenth Episode: Itoshima. Shiraito Falls and the Beach
At the beginning of May in 2012 we took the family out to Itoshima located to the west of Fukuoka City. We went to Shiraito Falls and fished for Yamame (which were surprisingly delicious), did the somen flowing down the bamboo halfpipe thing (the name escapes me at the moment even though I just edited the video) and went and played on a beach. No idea what the beach's name is! :) It was a good day, and I really want to go back again once the weather warms up! There's more to see in Itoshima!

Shiraito falls: our visit to Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls, Japan
In May 2018 we visited Shiraito falls in Japan, near Mount Fuji, in an area called Fujinomiya.
Shiraito waterfalls' full name is: Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls (in Japanese: 白糸の滝 ), and within the nature park you can also find another waterfall called Otodome no Taki Waterfalls (or Otodome falls / Otodome waterfalls), and a little pool called Obinmizu Pool. These magnificent natural water features are found along part of the Shibakawa River in this beautiful countryside area of Japan. Japanese country at its best! :) The hiking walk to the falls is easy, even if you're not very fit like me! Just a short hike - more of a walk really - down a nature trail. I hope you enjoy this quick tour of Shirato falls from our visit.

Took a drive into the mountains as I wanted to film the fall autumn leaves. Overall really happy with how it looked and as always I learn new techniques and methods.

The site of scenic beauty designated by Fukuoka. The water runs
down over the natural granite cliff. The change of season, weather, and the volume of water running down gives the waterfall its different expressions accordingly.

福岡県糸島市にある白糸の滝と千寿院の滝を紹介。
白糸の滝は
糸島市の南側、羽金山の中腹530mに位置し、文字どおり岩肌を白い糸のように流れる優しい雰囲気の滝です。
千寿院の滝は
源氏から逃れて身を潜めていた、平重盛の内室や幼子である千姫・福姫姉妹が、水際で華麗に舞ったという言い伝えがある、幅約12メートル、落差約15メートルの美しい滝です。

Shiraito Falls
Located on the southern side of Itoshima City, 530 m in the middle of Mt. Kaneyama, it is a gentle atmosphere with a gentle atmosphere flowing rocky like a white thread literally.
Senjuin Falls
It is a beautiful waterfall about 12 meters in width and about 15 meters in height with the legend that the interior of Heikegi and the young child, Senhime and Fukuhime sister, danced splendidly at the water's edge, who had hid himself from Genji. .

Hey there, family and friends! Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) this year was only a long weekend of 5 days so Nathan and I managed to escape to Fukuoka - a much needed break from the monotony of our lives in Korea. (It was also my birthday weekend so I really didn't want to stay cooped up in Daegu.) If you thought we ate some weird stuff in Taipei, wait 'til you see what we tried this time around!
We also rented a car and took a road trip to Itoshima, which was probably my absolute favorite part - aside from our lovely izakaya friends at Hakata Fudo. Shout out to Iero (spelling?), Yuta, and everyone else! You guys are awesome!

hi everyone! this is part 2 of the japan series! it is my first full day in japan and we are spending at mt. fuji! it was very foggy and cold at the top so I was unable to film much of it, but nonetheless it was beautiful. i hope you all enjoy!

Itoshima Japan Tourism. Itoshima (糸島市 Itoshima-shi?) is a city located in western Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
As of June 30, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 100,304, with 37,132 households and a population density of 464.11 persons per km². The total area is 216.12 km².
The modern city of Itoshima was established on January 1, 2010, from the merger of the city of Maebaru and the towns of Shima and Nijo (both from Itoshima district).
