Mishima is a city in central Japan. Located in eastern Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is locally called the “City of Water”. It is know for panoramic views of Mount Fuji from Mishima Skywalk, the longest suspension bridge in Japan that is 400 meters in length.

Bus journey from Kawaguchiko to Mishima | Wander around Mishima town
After a great time in Kawaguchiko we had to head off to Mishima to get the Bullet Train to Kyoto. There’s not a great deal to do in Mishima but it was a pleasant enough place to visit for a day before getting the train.

【三島水辺散歩】源兵衛川水辺の散歩道＆白滝公園・桜川地区【ニッポン旅マガジン】
三島市の楽寿園内小浜池を水源とし、三島市街の中心部を流れる源兵衛川。その川沿いにある遊歩道と、白滝公園から三嶋大社へと伸びる桜川沿いの歩道は、絶好の散歩道です。源兵衛川の広瀬橋付近には、昔懐かしい手扱ぎポンプが設置してあります。源兵衛川は、全長1.5kmの農業用水路で、昭和35年頃までは川辺のところどころに木製やコンクリート製の共同の洗い場があったそうです。農林水産省「疎水百選」、環境省「平成の名水百選」にも選定。
