Abandoned Haslingden/Stand Athletic Football club. Urbex
The North West Urban Explorers visit a old abandoned football club in haslingden u.k.
Haslingden F.C. was a football club based in Rossendale, Lancashire. In 1994, they won the North West Counties Football League Division Two.
Haslingden played at Ewood Bridge, later used by Stand Athletic and were members of the North West Counties League between 1993 and 1998.
Although Division Two Champions in their first season Haslingden were not promoted until finishing runners up in 1997. They completed just one season in the top flight, finishing 16/22 before financial difficulties signalled the end of the line for the club based adjacent to the East Lancashire Railway.[1]
The Ewood Bridge ground forlorn and overgrown is still extant today.
The town of Haslingden is today represented by Haslingden St.Mary's F.C. of the West Lancashire Football League. The club play at South Shore Street close to Haslingden town centre.
The big freeze of winter 1963
The winter of 1963 was the coldest winter for more than 200 years in the UK. The very cold, snowy weather started just before Christmas 1962 and continued until early March 1963.
A persistent feed of Arctic air and snow cover meant that it got progressively colder and colder. Tredegar in South Wales recorded snow 165cm (over 5 feet) deep on 7-8th February 1963. Weatherman Liam Dutton has more in this short video explainer.

Tracking shots with the inspire 2, Crime Drama - Drone hire by Aerial Republic
This was a tricky one, we embarked on our journey to a location in Leeds early one morning with our inspire 2 with the X5s for this crime drama. As you can see we didn't have much room to play with but we managed to pull off some great shots. The camera ability we have once airborne gives us the ability to move around set quickly. Here demonstrating how can go from tracking to jib-type shot quickly.
Drone hire can save a lot of time and effort on-set. Do you have a project in mind? Please, get in touch.

Billy Walton Band - ' Franklin's Tower ' at The Walnut Tree, East Farleigh, Kent, U.K. 27.02.2011
Billy Walton Band at The Walnut Tree, East Farleigh, Kent ME15 0HJ on 27th February 2011.The Walnut Tree, has been a pub since 1796.
Billy Walton - Guitar & Vocals.
William Paris - Bass & Vocals - from Hoboken, New Jersey, USA.
At this performance:
Simon Dring -Drums Norwich, Norfolk, England.
At the time of this filming, the band had released 'Live at the Stone Pony ' CD recorded in the summer of 2010 at the legandary venue in Asbury Park.
Billy Walton
Since the age of 15 Billy Walton has plied his craft in the Asbury Park/New Jersey shore music scene--most notably as the guitarist/vocalist for Boccigalupe & the Bad Boys which features Tony Amato a veteran of the Asbury scene since the 70s (the nickname Boccigalupe was actually given to him by Bruce Springsteen & Little Steven Van Zandt). During his time with Boccigalupe, Walton has played countless gigs in both the United States and Europe and sat in with numerous of rock luminaries including Springsteen, Gary US Bonds and Stevie Ray's backing band, Double Trouble. Walton's talents are no secret among everyone in the Jersey shore music scene and with the founding of the Billy Walton Band there's little doubt his reputation will grow far beyond the Garden State. The Billy Walton Band's sound is a combination of hard blues reminiscent of Hendrix, Clapton and Vaughn mixed with a healthy dose of Warren Hayes and Derrick Trucks. Live, Walton has always been an explosive performer with jaw dropping talent but with the addition of bassist William Paris. Billy Walton band churns out a singular brand of funky blues that has deep roots in both the jam band musical tradition as well as the Jersey shore Walton has cut his teeth on. Walton's connection to his heroes is not just through his record collection. Over the years he has developed a close friendship with Roger Mayer, the well-known British guitar effects guru whose devices have played such a pivotal part in rock n roll for nearly every major player since Hendrix. But regardless of his influences or where he's from, the Billy Walton Band's ultimate appeal lies in the unique musical gifts of its founder, Walton himself.
