Former NFL Athlete Gene Washington, talks about new documentary
Through the Banks of the Red Cedar is a documentary that tells the story of Gene Washington who was 1 of 23 African-American players given an opportunity to play at Michigan State during the height of the Civil Rights Movement. He was one of the first blacks to be drafted into the NFL in the late 60’s paving the way for today’s black NFL players.
The movie will be playing on Thursday, October 25th at Showbiz Cinemas In Baytown at 7pm.
