The Showa Memorial Park, which spans Tachikawa City and Akishima City in Tokyo, is a state-run park that is also known for its beautiful ginkgo row of trees. You can visit from the city center in about an hour. The vast site of approximately 180 hectares is divided into five zones: a green culture zone, an exhibition facility zone, a water zone, a plaza zone, and a forest zone. Showa Memorial Park is a park that is widely used for live events and music events by famous artists.

Showa Commemorative National Government Park (国営昭和記念公園 Kokuei Shōwa Kinen Kōen) is a national government park in Akishima and Tachikawa, Tokyo, Japan. It charges an entrance fee (410 yen for adults). At 1,653,000 square meters, it is the largest park in the Tokyo area.
Formerly a Japanese military airbase and in the postwar era operated by the US military, Tachikawa Airfield was returned to the Japanese government in 1977. Part of the airfield remains as a Japan Ground Self Defense Force base, and part of the airfield was used to establish Showa Commemorative Park in 1983 as part of a project to commemorate the emperor's Golden Jubilee.[1] There is a small museum dedicated to the Showa emperor.[2]
Bicycles may be rented in the park, which has an 11 kilometer bike trail with parking areas at all locations. There is also an outdoor barbecue area.
In December the park has illuminations that include Christmas lighting.
The park can be best accessed from Nishi-Tachikawa Station on the JR Ome line or a 15- to 20-minute walk from JR's Tachikawa Station or Seibu's Musashi-Sunagawa Station.

Công viên Showa là công viên quốc gia nằm ở 2 thành phố Tachikawa và Akishima của Tokyo. Tổng diện tích 180ha, là công viên thuộc loại lớn nhất ở Nhật Bản. Bạn có thể đến đây cả 4 mùa, mỗi mùa đều có 1 đặc trưng và vẻ đẹp riêng
Vé vào cửa, người lớn (15 tuổi trở lên) 410 Yên, trẻ em (học sinh tiểu học và trung học) 80 Yên.
Ngày nghỉ hàng năm vào ngày 31/12 và 1/1, thứ 2 của tuần thứ 4 tháng 2 và ngày hôm sau đó.
Ga gần nhất là ga Nishi Tachikawa của tuyến JR Ome. Từ ga Tokyo, các bạn có thể đi tuyến JR Chuo Ome về hướng Ome cách 9 ga. Thời gian 45 phút, mức phí 640 Yên. Ga Nishi Tachikawa chỉ cách cửa vào công vên Nishi Tachikawa 2 phút đi bộ.

2017年11月7日の午前中に撮影。立川口カナール両サイドのイチョウ並木はかなり落葉して、見頃がまもなく終わるかなという印象で、かたらいのイチョウ並木（うんどう広場横）はまだ見頃状態が続いているようです。基本的にこの二つのイチョウ並木を撮影するために歩いて移動して、移動中も公園の様子を撮影しています。
午前中だけの散策でしたが昭和記念公園上空にヘリコプターが絶えず飛び交い、そしてこの公園の周囲から来る幼稚園児、小学低学年生の多さ。静かに佇む公園ではないような印象でした。個人的には東京都立水元公園の方が好きです。第一、無料ですし。またイチョウの黄葉を見るなら断然、神宮外苑です。車道の両サイドのイチョウ並木ですが、背景に絵画館の建物があるので。

Park is located in Tokyo, on the border between Tachikawa and Akishima cities. This time entrance fee was 410 yen and it was really crowded. Tulips were in full bloom. I also found some cosplayers.

The tulip is a perennial, bulbous plant with showy flowers in the genus Tulipa, of which around 75 wild species are currently accepted[1] and which belongs to the family Liliaceae.[2]
The genus's native range extends west to the Iberian Peninsula, through North Africa to Greece, the Balkans, Turkey, throughout the Levant (Syria, Israel, Palestinian Territories, Lebanon, Jordan) and Iran, North to Ukraine, southern Siberia and Mongolia, and east to the Northwest of China.[1] The tulip's centre of diversity is in the Pamir, Hindu Kush, and Tien Shan mountains.[3] It is a typical element of steppe and winter-rain Mediterranean vegetation. A number of species and many hybrid cultivars are grown in gardens, as potted plants, or as cut flowers.
国営昭和記念公園（こくえいしょうわきねんこうえん、Showa Kinen Park , Showa Commemorative National Government Park）は、東京都立川市と昭島市にある日本の国営公園。
昭和天皇御在位五十年記念事業の一環として、現在及び将来を担う国民が自然的環境の中で健全な心身を育み、英知を養う場とするために、戦後米軍が旧立川飛行場を接収した立川市と昭島市の両市にまたがる立川基地跡地のうち、180haを記念公園として建設することが閣議決定され、「緑の回復と人間性の向上」をテーマに1978年（昭和53年）度より国土交通省の手で施設整備が進められてきた。1983年（昭和58年）10月26日、昭和天皇臨席のもとに約70haで開園した後、レインボープールや子供の森、日本庭園、砂川口、盆栽苑等次々と施設が整備され、2005年（平成17年）11月にはみどりの文化ゾーンが共用され、同時に昭和天皇記念館が開館した。
チューリップはユリ科チューリップ属の植物。球根ができ、形態は有皮鱗茎。和名は鬱金香（うこんこう、うっこんこう）、中近東ではラーレと呼ばれる。アナトリア、イランからパミール高原、ヒンドゥークシュ山脈、カザフスタンのステップ地帯が原産。
チューリップには後述のチューリップ相場に代表されるように多様な園芸品種が存在する。外観は、花弁の先端が丸いもの・尖ったもの・フリル状のものもある。咲き方は一重から八重で、一つの球根から複数の花がつくもの、すぼまった状態で開花するものや花弁が外側へ反り返り全開して開花するものなど。花色も青以外の赤・黄・オレンジ・白・緑・紫などの単色や複数の色のものなど、数百品種のチューリップが存在する。青バラと同様に多くの育種家によって青いチューリップの開発が進められているが、花弁全体が青い品種は発表されていない。 チューリップの花を上から覗くと、花弁の根元に青い部分が存在する。その部分には青い色素がみられ、その青い部分を増やすことで青いチューリップを作る研究がされている。
