Like a Scene out of the Movies as Car Flips outside Berkshire Cinema
Reading,Berkshire Friday 31st March 2017 A driver has walked away to tell the tail after leaving a trail of destruction on the A329 in Winnersh Berkshire this evening just outside the Showcase Cinema. This is the aftermath of the moment a car flips in the middle of the road after hitting a traffic light - then slides along carriageway on its roof.
The incident happened on the A329 Reading Road outside the cinema. One shocked film goers described hearing a loud bang and the car flying through the air at speed.
The vehicle collides head on with a traffic island, sending debris flying, and is lifted onto two wheels. The car swerves out of control to other side of the road lands on its roof, and comes to a halt amid a shower of sparks.
The silver A3 driver has left thousand of pounds worth of damage to the traffic island barriers and traffic lights.
Emergency services rushed to the scene just before midnight on Thursday evening. Fire crews from near by Wokingham Road made the vehicle safe whilst Police took the driver away for questioning. A major clean up operation is now taking place to make the road ready for the morning rush hour traffic©UKNIP
