Pulling of the Sri Shantadurga cart at sunrise was very impressive. Sure, Goa isn't Varanasi in terms of stunning Hindu ceremonies, but this is just 20 minutes on scooter from my beach.
As musician, I was blown away by the live performance - moderate emotiveness of the singers and poker-faced drummers: that's truly a pro attitude, I guess. With the generator powered gear on trolley, design, costumes... a challenging edification for any serious band.

Shri Shantadurga Kunkalikarin Temple is located at Fatorpa and is one of the oldest temples of Goa. It is also one of the prime places to visit in Goa. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Shri Shantadurga.
Distance from Margoa to fatorpa is 20 km.

THE ANNUAL ZATROTSAV OF SHREE SHANTADURGA FATORPEKAREEN AT FATORPA BEGAN FROM WEDNESDAY
The annual Zatra-utsav of Shree Shantadurga Fatorpekareen at Fatorpa began from Wednesday with various religious and cultural activities. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also made a visit to the temple to seek blessings. People from all over Goa, belonging to different religions, communities and castes come to worship the deity.
