The Shubenacadie River tidal bore occurs when the extreme high tide from the Bay of Fundy moves into the Shubenacadie River in Nova Scotia, Canada. We also give a little teaser to the Tidal Bore Rafting that we did here, but we'll be posting much more about that adventure later!

This video is from July 2017 when we went tidal bore rafting in Nova Scotia down the Shunenacadie River with River Runners. We went on one of the most extreme tidal surges of the year, which flows in from the Bay of Fundy. Tidal bore rafting over the waves and rapids was such an awesome and unique thrill. Tidal Bore Rafting in Nova Scotia - Extreme Tides 2014
This was my 7th Annual Rafting Trip through the Extreme Tides of the Shubenacadie River, August 13, 2014. These were the highest tides of the season with 28.4ft tides. These Rolling Waves were 10-12 feet. Such a great time!!! For more information check out their website:

Rafting on the Shubenacadie River is a BLAST! Truly a must-do activity in Nova Scotia, Canada!
We went before the season officially opened, which is when the water is still really cold! (8 degrees Celcius cold!).
It was SO MUCH FUN but we love this video because of the girl on the left! She had a great time as well but I don't think she was expecting the water to hit so hard and to be so cold.
