Shubie River Wranglers - Tidal Bore Rafting on the Shubenacadie River
We had a great time riding the tidal bore and mud sliding on the Shubenacadie River, Nova Scotia with the Shubie River Wranglers. This adventure company is owned and operated by Emmett Blois and Jillian MacLaughlin of Big Brother Canada - Season 1 fame. They have a great location and were very hospitable hosts. We look forward to returning in the future and highly recommend them.

Tidal Bore River Rafters Go for a MUD Slide
Adventure seekers go for a tidal bore river rafting ride up the Shubenacadie River. The tidal bore is an incredible phenomenon seen in very few parts of the world, tidal bores are formed as tidal waters flow into outgoing rivers. As the 100 billion tonnes of water rushes into the Bay of Fundy at high tide, there is only so much space and therefore the great tides actually reverse the flow of rivers that would typically flow into the Bay. The Bay of Fudy has the the worlds highest tides as high as 53 feet.
