Exciting adventures await those who partake in this exhilarating safari! A three-day
excursion, with accommodation included, offers a stress-free experience at Sossusvlei and
the Namib Desert, one of the most spectacular sites in the world. En route to this ancient
desert, visitors journey down breath-taking slopes as the Spreetshoogte Pass unfurls to the
Namib Desert floor. Unexpected canyons and vlei’s, and unique local settlements add awe-inspiring scenery and diversity to the trip. The magnificent star dunes of the Namib are a
photographer’s dream and the spectacular landscape will leave memories to last a lifetime.
Windhoek – Namib Desert
Guests are collected from their lodgings in Windhoek at approximately 14:00. The journey to the Namib Naukluft Park begins via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass – one of Namibia’s steepest and most scenic mountain passes. A quick stopover at the small settlement
of Solitaire caters for refreshments and some sweet delights. The night is spent at the
Namib Desert Lodge, based at the foot of ancient fossilised dunes or at The Desert Grace.
While enveloped in this oasis, it almost seems as though time stands still.

Accommodation: Namib Desert Lodge / The Desert Grace
Sossusvlei
An early start to the day awaits. Much of the day is spent climbing the highest sand
dunes in the world. Big Daddy offers a strenuous climb, but the view along the crest
is completely worth it. Upon descent, the whispering sands of the Namib lead to
the ancient camelthorn trees of Dead Vlei – one of the most photographed areas in
Sosussvlei.
Namib Desert Lodge / The Desert Grace – Windhoek
Rise and shine, as the capital awaits! After breakfast, the shuttle returns to Windhoek
via the Remhoogte Pass – although this pass is not as steep as the Spreetshoogte,
it offers beautiful scenery. Expect to arrive in the city at around 12:30, although please
note that times may vary.
Meals: Breakfast

Shuttle services Namibia
Windhoek (Panoramic View) Namibia
Panoramic view of Windhoek city. With camera slung around my neck and peaked cap I must have looked very touristy. It was almost embarrassing when 20+ taxis would toot at the same time trying to get me to use their cab. I am not sure but I think anyone with a car can set themselves up as a taxi driver - certainly cars i travelled in were old, noisy and almost certainly un-roadworthy. These vehicles do not have meters so keep in mind that some unscrupulous drivers could charge a tourist ten times the normal fare. There are also the registered radio taxis (Airport shuttle) which are roadworthy and driven responsibly. Be aware there are privately owned buses connecting Windhoek with major regional towns. These buses are invariably un-roadworthy, overloaded and driven well over the speed limit. Roll-overs and collisions with animals are common and often result in multiple fatalities. Always use the Intercape Mainliners. This is not an advertisement- just common sense
Tour Namibia in 12 Days with Africa4us
Is there any kind of travel experience more exciting, more exhilarating, and more unique than a safari? We don’t think so, either. Today, join TourRadar and Africa4us on a 12-day tour through Namibia; from the incredible wildlife to the fantastic accommodation and everything in between, get ready for a serious case of travel jealousy as we explore everything Namibia has to offer!
One of the most important things to consider when booking a safari journey is the type of transportation you’ll be using during game drives. While the classic Jeep is an iconic safari vehicle, there are plenty of other options available depending on your tour operator - and not all of them are created equal. Going on safari with Africa4us means travelling in their brand new overland safari vehicles, which include high elevation to increase visibility, single-windows so you have the view to yourself, and plenty of storage to keep all of your valuables.
While animal sightings are undoubtedly one of Namibia’s major draws, that’s not all this country has to offer. How about visiting Fish River Canyon - the second largest natural canyon in the world? Does walking barefoot through the vast desert sound appealing to you? What about sandboarding, or, for those looking for some extra adventure, skydiving? You may not expect to be able to enjoy these kinds of experiences on safari, but that’s the best part of touring - you never know what you could be doing next!
Of course, while there’s more to Namibia than its wildlife, we couldn’t forget about the country’s most famous residents! Travellers on this tour were able to view antelope, giraffes, elephants, and even had the incredible opportunity to watch a lioness with her young cub resting at a waterhole. The biggest problem travellers often have while on safari in Namibia is answering the question “what was your favourite part?” when they get home!
Are you ready to make some memories in Namibia? Head over to TourRadar to see this itinerary in more detail, or to find other amazing safari tours. Don’t be travel-jealous forever!

REC 380 project, I do not claim the songs are mine.
Cape Point, Cape to Namibia Route , Mobile Version
SMagnificent mountains, unique fynbos vegetation, glorious seascapes, wetlands, vineyards, golden fields, citrus orchards, semi-desert, half a dozen nature conservation areas and the extraordinary bloom of wild flowers in spring - there is much to discover on the South African side of the Cape to Namibia route. There is plenty to do, too: water sports, hiking, 4x4 trails, quad biking, horse riding, bird watching. And each of the little hamlets and villages has its history and cultural heritage and a story to tell. There is much to learn about the early inhabitants who left their mark with rock paintings, the pioneers, the missionaries and not least the adventurers who endured great hardship in their quest to strike it rich.
