Sicogon Island, Philippines
Sicogon Island is one of the many beautiful attractions that grace the waters of Northern Iloilo. Sicogon became a popular tourist destination during the 70s and 80s because of the high-end resort suitably named “Sicogon Island Resort” operating in the island.
At present, there may not be any luxurious accommodations or amenities in Sicogon but travelers can still visit the island to enjoy its picturesque sandy beaches, virgin forests, and alluring waters.
Mt. Opao, recognizably crowned by a bare rock summit, dominates the landscape of Sicogon Island. The lower third the mountain is thickly covered by lush forest that is teeming with wildlife. The clean natural spring of Mr. Opao is the main water source of the island.
Mt. Opao’s summit can be reached after a 1 to 2 hour hike. Locals are willing trail guides for visitors who want to conquer the mountain and enjoy the magnificent views overlooking the islands of Northern Iloilo.

Explore the island of Sicogon in Estancia, Iloilo. It is about an hour near Islas de Gigantes. Before Boracay, there was Sicogon. Quoted from a site (sorry, I forgot) where they show the beauty of Iloilo.
Our former Miss Universe Philippines, Ms. Gloria Diaz, had shot one of her movies in Sicogon.
Twelve of us went there and accommodated a tent overnight. I think we spent around 1000pesos (pocket money included) individually for the whole adventure in Sicogon. Transportation, food, and the 2-way transfer boat are included.

Huni Sicogon
Huni Sicogon is Ayala Land’s latest venture in Western Visayas. Just opened this July 2018, it is a 52-key, 2-storey boutique resort located at Sicogon Tourism Estate.
Sicogon Island is located on the northernmost part of Iloilo, under the municipality of Carles. This island has remained under the radar for the past few years, especially after Yolanda hit and brought casualty to the locals and their livelihood. Ayala is set to turn the island into a tourism estate, much like Lio El Nido.

I stayed in Balay Kogon Resort but I also went to Huni Resort
