Siem Reap Angkor Tourism of Cambodia in Asia | Travel from Siem Reap Province to Phnom Penh city
This video is about us walking around to see the new floating bridge crossing the river to Angkor Wat temple in Siem Reap province in Cambodia, Southeast Asia. There many local and international walking back and forth on this new swing. I then walked to the food stalls/cottages in front of the Angkor Wat temple. They serve grilled chickens, grilled fishes, grilled frogs to tourists and local people. We walked back to the car park and going around and back to Krong Siem Reap. We bought natural fruits and vegetables along the road. I like those bananas, my boy like guavas, my wife like mangos and star fruits. After this we travel back, the destination is Phnom Penh city. We're on National Highway 6 to Kampong Thom province and Kampong Cham province. We had some foods, the Cambodian noodle with fish soup and noodle with pate. The vendors walking around us with their bamboo bucket/pad selling insects and street foods. We ate some foods and travel back to Phnom Penh city. We got home at around 8:30pm. Raby had tuna salad for dinner. I didn't eat anymore and ready to go bed.

Starting from Siem Reap Kampong Phluk Floating Village is almost an hour away, but it was a fascinating ride and gave us a real inside peak into the lives of the Cambodian people.
I’m sorry about the shakiness of this footage, but as you can see some of the roads were really rough to get down.
This is a Cambodian school! They only operate between 7 and 11 am due to the heat and funds. The elementary schools always seemed to be way larger than the high schools due to students dropping out to work.
At first, I was trying to figure out what type of vegetation these bushes were when I abruptly realized they were the tops of trees! Suddenly, the extent of the depths of the water became apparent.
I’ve heard of tours in other countries and places of floating villages where no one actually lived there. This village was very active and definitely a real community. This may be due to the fact that tourism only hit this village about 10 years ago and is a relatively new source of income here. Most of the villagers rely on the fishing industry during the wet season and farm during the dry season as their main ways to make money.
The water was very brown from all of the mud and dirt getting kicked up from the rains and also from how much clay is in the soil here.
I can’t express how large this village was! I was truly surprised. I couldn’t find any information about exactly how many people lived here and our guide didn’t speak much English to provide information about the village. So we pretty much just observed and enjoyed.
I was fascinated by the fact that these families still had dogs, cats and livestock high above the water.
I’ve heard that the price of this tour sometimes triples during the dry season since there’s no prices listed at the stand where you buy the tickets, which seems a bit shady and I wouldn’t say it’s worth a TON of money to see. And since the ticket stand was pretty far from the actual village, I HOPE the money goes towards the locals there. Otherwise, it’s not the most ethical. So maybe just watch this video and experience it through us instead!
This village sits on a river which leads into the Tonle Sap. It’s the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and a huge biodiversity hotspot.
The name of this floating village translates to the Harbor of the Tusks.
We saw men and women weaving fishing nets, children playing in the water, people young and old bathing outside of their homes, a girl rowing a boat to her friends house and more. We saw multiple people bathing in the waters here. It obviously plays a huge role in their lives. It was all awesome and totally fascinating to see how people live here.
Our mangrove guide was a local from the village who didn’t speak any English.
Being on a small boat getting closer to the houses and the people gave us a brand new perspective which was really exciting. It got me wondering what it would be like to teach English in their local school and live in this community.
We were silly and forgot bug spray … I really recommend bug spray.
The crocodile farm was located right next to a shop with a ton of purses, belts and other things made from the skins of said crocodiles which was a bit upsetting to me. Also, you could hold the babies which I’m never a fan of. Babies should be with their mamas and not held by strangers being exposed to all of their new and exotic bacteria and germs and stuff.
Our guide brought us down the river and out to see the lake.
There was also a local temple we were able to visit too. The mangrove forest and the temple were the only two stops our boat made. At the temple was a few stray dogs and some monks. The details in the architecture and colors within the murals were so beautiful.
Siem Reap Angkor / Water festival at siem reap province 2015.
Bon Om Touk (Khmer: បុណ្យអុំទូក, IPA: [bon om tuːk]), or the Cambodian Water Festival, is a Cambodian festival celebrated in November and marks a reversal of the flow of the Tonle Sap River. Every town and province joins in with the festival but the biggest celebrations take place in Phnom Penh with boat racing along the Sisowath Quay. For three days, workers from every province join with the city's residents to celebrate by night and day. The festival lasts for three days, and commemorates the end of the country's rainy season,[1] as well as the reversal of flow of the Tonle Sap River.[2] It includes boat races and concerts, and attracts several million people each year.[1][3]

#2 - Cambodia | Angkor | Unique Village | Floating Village | Kampong Phluk |Tonle Sap | Siem Reap
What is floating village:
It refers to seasonally flood freshwater lake.
Lake and an attached river, the 120 km long Tonlé Sap River, that connects the lake to the Mekong River.
More than a village it is a small town that has Clinic, Church, Temple, Markets, Restaurants, Police Station, Cremation Place and everything that a large community requires to function.
Conclusion:
For those people who have never seen such thing before, it is truly mind blowing experience. Can see what life is like over water
I was amazed to see there set up and how people are surviving in this condition is truly hats off

Siem Reap Floating Village - Should You Visit? ????????
This video is about the insane adventure we had experienced while exploring the Khmer life in the Cambodian countryside and floating village around Siem Reap. We roamed around the rural communities in Cambodia which are settled on the shores of Tonle Sap Lake.
Kampong Phluk is a commune and village in Siem Reap Province in northern-central Cambodia. It is a village built on stilts on the Tonle Sap. The community largely depends on fishing for survival
Siem Reap, a resort town in northwestern Cambodia, is the gateway to the ruins of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th–15th centuries. Angkor’s vast complex of intricate stone buildings includes preserved Angkor Wat, the main temple, which is pictured on Cambodia’s flag. Giant, mysterious faces are carved into the Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom.

Angkor Sangkran 2017 in Siem Reap Province Cambodia | The Elephant Terrace on Khmer New Year
We celebrated the Khmer New Year 2017 in Siem Reap province with all Khmer people and tourists in front of the Elephant Terrace at Angkor Thom. It was so so so hot on that day 16th April but it was so much fun for us all. There are concert stages, foods stalls, Khmer foods village, Lbokator, pottery, exhibition, tug of war game, and a lot more. We stopped for a while at khmer food village for some ice-cone with syrup and walked to Bayon temple to stay in the shade. They started spraying the water in front of the elephant terrace and dancing, we walked back to see them and celebrate the big day together. The biggest Sangkran 2017 is at Siem Reap province. They also have concert and other khmer popular games in front of Angkor wat temple but we can't get there until evening. We had dinner at Baray and moved to Angkor Wat temple to see lanterns. We bought lantern (10,000riel each) to float on to the water in front of Angkor Wat temple. It's beautiful as they put candles on lanterns and moved away on the lake at Angkor wat. We traveled back into Krong Siem Reap, while everyone enjoy spraying water on each other. The traffic was so bad, we can't move forward. Everyone really had a good time and so much fun on New Year 2017.

Cambodia/What to do in Siem Reap Part 15
Welcome to my travelchannel. On my channel you can find almost 1000 films of more than 70 countries.
See the playlist on my youtube channel.Enjoy!
Siem Reap is the capital city of Siem Reap Province in northwestern Cambodia, and a popular resort town as the gateway to Angkor region.
Siem Reap has colonial and Chinese-style architecture in the Old French Quarter, and around the Old Market. In the city, there are museums, traditional Apsara dance performances, a Cambodian cultural village, souvenir and handycraft shops, silk farms, rice-paddies in the countryside, fishing villages and a bird sanctuary near the Tonle Sap Lake.Siem Reap today—being a popular tourist destination—has a large number of hotels, resorts, restaurants and businesses closely related to tourism. This is much owed to its proximity to the Angkor temples, the most popular tourist attraction in Cambodia.
The Town is a cluster of small villages along the Siem Reap River. These villages were originally developed around Buddhist pagodas (Wat) which are almost evenly spaced along the river from Wat Preah En Kau Sei in the north to Wat Phnom Krom in the south, where the Siem Reap River meets the great Tonle Sap Lake.
The main town is concentrated around Sivutha Street and the Psar Chas area (Old Market area) where there are old colonial buildings, shopping and commercial districts. The Wat Bo area is now full of guesthouses and restaurants while the Psar Leu area is often crowded with jewellery and handicraft shops, selling such items as rubies and woodcarving. Other fast developing areas are the airport road and main road to Angkor where a number of large hotels and resorts can be found. The Old Market or Psah Chas is located between Pub Street and the Siem Reap River, and offers a mixture of souvenirs for tourist and a variety of food produce and other items meant for the locals.Other markets in Siem Reap include the Angkor Night Market which is located off Sivutha Street, Phsar Kandal (The Central Market) located at Sivutha Street which mainly caters to tourists, and Phsar Leu (The Upper Market) which is located further away along National Road 6 but is the biggest market of Siem Reap used by the locals.
Angkor Wat (Wat temple) is the central feature of the Angkor UNESCO World Heritage Site containing the magnificent remains of the Khmer civilization. Angkor Wat's rising series of five towers culminates in an impressive central tower that symbolizes mythical Mount Meru. Thousands of feet of wall space are covered with intricate carving depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. The most important are the Carved Bas reliefs of the Hindu narratives. They tell a story about gods fighting demons in order to reclaim order which can only be achieved by recovering the elixir of life known as amrita. The gods and demons must work together to release it and then battle to attain it.Wikipedia

Siem Reap Province Tour 01
I got up in the morning at Home-Sweet-Home guest house in Krong Siem Reap. I walked to breakfast and get ready before my friend pick me up to visit the temples. I walked into a small restaurant next to my guest house. They have chicken & pork porridge, beef noodle soup, grilled pork rice, bread with beef stew. I ordered grilled pork with rice set for just 4500riel (USD1.125). My friend just came when I finished my breakfast. I got on his nice car heading out north to Angkor Wat. We didn't go to Angkor Wat temple but we will visit another temple at Angkor. We stopped at an ancient temple and walked into, climb up the to the top and look around. It's a beautiful ancient temple during the Angkor era at Siem Reap province in Cambodia.
In this video, i used GoPro Hero 5 Black, iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, DJI Phantom 3 Standard.
