My First Trip to Ireland: Travel Film
Don't miss our latest adventure! ►
This was my first time in Ireland. It happened to be my honeymoon, but we did not sit still. We were on a mission to explore this gorgeous, green country. Tag along with my wife and I from the international streets of Dublin to the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula and beyond. We stayed in a castle, road horses, hung out with falcons, visited the Guinness Storehouse, ate the best ice cream we’ve ever had, hiked along the legendary Cliffs of Moher, and enjoyed some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. If you have any questions about our trip or the making of this film, be sure to comment and let me know. Considering the length of this film, I highly recommend viewing on a TV or hands-free device if possible. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for traveling with us.

Bloomsday 2019
My 2nd time running Bloomsday. Ran it in 2018 for the first time and enjoyed it so much had to do it again. I set a new PR for this run which was a great feeling. The energy of the run and the encouragement from the spectators is awesome. Ran with 38,541 other runners. Perfect Spokane weather which made the run great. Looking forward to next year. Enjoy the video no music just the true sight and sounds of the run.

26. Tour bus in traffic jam in front of St. Peter''s square
STORYLINE
Tourists visiting the wonders of Rome can do so whilst keeping their bodies and minds in shape.
Groups can now join an experienced personal trainer who is also a multi-lingual tour guide, jogging from monument to monument on specially tailored routes around the city.
The new sport of sight-jogging, is named after a fusion of the words sight-seeing and jogging.
The pioneer of sight-jogging in Rome is Carolina Gasparetto, a personal trainer with a degree in foreign languages and a special love for Roman sightseeing.
Carolina is starting to lead small teams of sight-runners through the most striking monuments of the Eternal City on foot.
Sight-joggers can choose from eight different routes: from the Spanish Steps to Saint Peter''s Basilica, from the Tiberina Island to Piazza Navona and the Colosseum.
It is something for everybody and we choose each time the right pace according to the fitness of the person, Carolina explains.
Glannys, an American tourist, chose to run with her friends from the Spanish Steps to Saint Peter''s Basilica, a tour of 4600 metres which takes around 45 minutes.
As the team was walking up the Spanish steps some middle-age American tourists were fascinated by the new trend and tried to join Carolina.
After reaching the top, Martin, a tourist from New York, stopped and said he thought the area could be seen much quicker, better, and in leave him better shape.
Other tourists, one Japanese man and a group of boy-scouts, appeared to be so excited by the idea that they started to imitate the sight-joggers immediately.

City Walks: Ventura, California virtual treadmill beach walking tour
Thanksgiving day I took a morning walk through Ventura California. The fires and shooting were a couple weeks prior so we missed that thank goodness. I took a walk staring at the county courthouse and working my way down past the historic mission foundations through downtown and out along the beach to watch the surfers and kiteboarders. Everyone was wonderfully friendly and the whole walk was incredibly relaxing. Thanks for watching and please subscribe. It will help me make more of these. Happy Walking

Ventura, officially the City of San Buenaventura, is the county seat of Ventura County, California, United States. The coastal site, set against undeveloped hills and flanked by two free-flowing rivers, has been inhabited for thousands of years. European explorers encountered a Chumash village, referred to as Shisholop, here while traveling along the Pacific coast. They witnessed the ocean navigation skill of the native people and their use of the abundant local resources from sea and land. The eponymous Mission San Buenaventura was founded nearby in 1782 where it benefitted from the water of the Ventura River. The town grew around the mission compound and incorporated in 1866. The development of nearby oil fields in the 1920s and the age of automobile travel created a major real estate boom during which many designated landmark buildings were constructed. The mission and these buildings are at the center of a downtown that has become a cultural, retail, and residential district and visitor destination.
Ventura lies along U.S. Route 101 between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, which was one of the original U.S. Routes. The highway is now known as the Ventura Freeway, but the original route through the town along Main Street has been designated El Camino Real, the historic pathway connecting the California missions. During the post–World War II economic expansion, the community grew easterly, building detached single family homes over the rich agricultural land created by the Santa Clara River at the edge of the Oxnard Plain. The population was 106,433 at the 2010 census, up from 100,916 at the 2000 census with the median age being 39. Ventura is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Dublin, Guiness, Jameson, Castles, and Ireland - Travel with Dianemarie Collins & The DM Zone
Dianemarie Collins & The DM Zone took a walking tour of Dublin, Ireland and saw Dublin Castle, Museums, St. Stephen's Green, the Temple Bar, restaurants, Guiness and Jameson! Whew!
With the ‘luck of the Irish’ is on our side, we experienced Dublin ... deeply rooted in their incredible history, culture and – well, booze – the people of Dublin are all such characters, as well. Whether they are sharing long-winded stories, singing local songs or telling the odd joke here and there to make you laugh, the locals never fail to put a smile on your face. And, because the city is located right on the east coast, day trips and excursions to the mountains or cliff sides are just a bus ride away, where you can witness some of the most vast and beautiful sceneries in all of Ireland.
The Temple Bar is quite possibly one of the most iconic bars in all of Dublin, with tourists flocking from all over the world to have a drink inside its famous walls. Although the history of the bar dates back to the early 1300s, it still remains popular to this day due to its famous red exterior, its great location in the heart of the city, as well as being a huge part of Dublin’s central nightlife scene. At present, The Temple Bar is the most popular bar frequented by young tourists – and even some locals alike – looking to have a glass (or two, or three) of strong Irish whiskey and enjoy a hell of a night.
Located in the heart of St. James’ Gate Brewery, the Guinness Storehouse is one of the most popular tourist attractions in all of Ireland. In fact, the interior is designed to look exactly like a pint of Guinness itself and is known to be the largest pint in the world. A ticket to the Guinness factory (roughly €18) will take you on a tour through seven floors of Irish brewing history, where you will learn all about the Guinness family, as well as how the beloved stout beer is meticulously crafted to perfection. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at the Gravity Bar on the 7th floor, where you can enjoy a refreshing pint of Guinness with a 360 degree view of the Dublin skyline.
Another historical gem is the Old Jameson Distillery, located just off Smithfield Square. This location previously used to be the original site where Jameson whiskey was manufactured and distilled until it stopped production in the early 1970s. A tour of the old distillery will take you through the history and process of creating the refined whiskey, along with the unique opportunity to take part in a comparative whiskey-tasting experience. At the end of the tour, you will be given an exclusive Whiskey Taster Certificate to officially certify your knowledge in traditional Irish whiskey that you will be able to show off to your family and friends back home.
Take a trip back to prehistoric Dublin by visiting the famous Dublin Castle. With over 800 years of Irish memories encapsulated within its walls, this incredible structure has borne witness to some of the most pivotal events in all of the country’s history. Spanning an area of over 11 acres, the Castle stands proudly on the highest ridge in the locality and offers self-guided and guided tours of the grounds, including the Castle’s many rooms, gardens and museums such as the Chapel Royal, the Chester Beatty Library, the Garda Museum and the Revenue Museum.
A popular Dublin park to relax in is St. Stephen’s Green, filled with lush green grass, a variety of plants and flowers and some marvelous bodies of water. If that’s not enough, there are even some monuments scattered around for you to see and many paths for you to walk, bike or jog. Bring a book, a packed lunch, or stop at a café before heading to St. Stephen’s Green to enjoy a brisk, beautiful day at the park.

Vail is a home rule municipality in Eagle County, Colorado, United States. The population of the town was 5,305 in 2010. The town, home to Vail Ski Resort, the largest ski mountain in Colorado, is known for its hotels, dining, and for the numerous events the city hosts annually, such as the Vail Film Festival, Burton US Open, Vail Resorts Snow Days, and Bravo! Vail.
Vail was incorporated in 1966, four years after the opening of Vail Ski Resort. The ski area was founded by Pete Seibert and local rancher Earl Eaton in 1962, at the base of Vail Pass. The pass was named after Charles Vail, the highway engineer who routed U.S. Highway 6 through the Eagle Valley in 1940, which eventually became Interstate 70. Seibert, a New England native, served in the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division during World War II, which trained at Camp Hale, 14 miles south of Vail between Red Cliff and Leadville. He was wounded in Italy at the Battle of Riva Ridge but went on to become a professional skier after he recovered.

The Hungarian Parliament Building, also known as the Parliament of Budapest after its location, is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination in Budapest. It is situated in Kossuth Square, in the Pest side of the city and on the banks of the Danube. It is currently the largest building in Hungary. It was designed by Hungarian architect Imre Steindl in neo-Gothic style and opened in 1902.
The Parliament Building is built in the Gothic Revival style; it has a symmetrical façade and a central dome. The dome is Renaissance Revival architecture. Also from inside the parliament is symmetrical and thus has two absolutely identical parliament halls of which one is used for politics, the other for guided tours. It is 268 m (879 ft) long and 123 m (404 ft) wide. Its interior includes 10 courtyards, 13 passenger and freight elevators, 27 gates, 29 staircases and 691 rooms (which includes more than 200 offices). With its height of 96 m (315 ft), it is one of the two tallest buildings in Budapest, along with Saint Stephen's Basilica. The number 96 refers to the nation's millennium, 1896, and the conquest of the later Kingdom of Hungary in 896.

Portsoy is a few miles east of Cullen (other direction from Buckie). It's famous for being the site of filming for the remake of Whiskey Galore film based on the famous book. It's a small but charming movie. It's also famous for its Portsoy Ice Cream parlor and their bubble waffles. I can attest that they are delicious, especially, just a waffle with caramel sauce. It has a boat house for classes and commmunal space to build wooden boats. A sail loft for activities. And a salmon bothy museum with free entrance. Finally, it has an annual Scottish Traditional Boat Festival held in June.
It's a lovely town with a great harbor with a small pub. Great old historic buildings still in use. I hope you enjoy this tour.

The original name may come from Port Saoithe, meaning saithe harbour.
Portsoy is located on the Moray Firth Coast of North East Scotland, 50 miles North West of Aberdeen & 65 miles East of Inverness. It had a population of 1752 persons at the time of the 2011 census.
Portsoy is known for local jewellery made from Portsoy marble (which is not marble, but rather serpentinite). The annual Scottish Traditional Boat Festival was started in 1993 to celebrate the 300th year of the harbour.
Portsoy, notably the harbour, has featured in BBC period dramas “The Camerons” and “The Shutter Falls”, a Tennent’s Lager advert (parodying “Whisky Galore”) and, most recently, was the principal film location for Gillies MacKinnon’s 2016 film 'Whisky Galore' (a remake of the 1949 film of the same name); Portsoy represented the fictional island of Todday.

Wikipedia
Fleet Street is a major street mostly in the City of London. It runs west to east from Temple Bar at the boundary with the City of Westminster to Ludgate Circus at the site of the London Wall and the River Fleet from which the street was named.
The term Fleet Street remains a metonym for the British national press, and pubs on the street once frequented by journalists remain popular.
Trafalgar Square is a public square in the City of Westminster, Central London, built around the area formerly known as Charing Cross. Its name commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar, a British naval victory in the Napoleonic Wars over France and Spain that took place on 21 October 1805 off the coast of Cape Trafalgar.
The site of Trafalgar Square had been a significant landmark since the 13th century and originally contained the King's Mews. After George IV moved the mews to Buckingham Palace, the area was redeveloped by John Nash, but progress was slow after his death, and the square did not open until 1844. The 169-foot Nelson's Column at its centre is guarded by four lion statues. A number of commemorative statues and sculptures occupy the square, but the Fourth Plinth, left empty since 1840, has been host to contemporary art since 1999.
The square has been used for community gatherings and political demonstrations, including Bloody Sunday in 1887, the culmination of the first Aldermaston March, anti-war protests, and campaigns against climate change. A Christmas tree has been donated to the square by Norway since 1947 and is erected for twelve days before and after Christmas Day. The square is a centre of annual celebrations on New Year's Eve.
Piccadilly Circus is a road junction and public space of London's West End in the City of Westminster. It was built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with Piccadilly. In this context, a circus, from the Latin word meaning circle, is a round open space at a street junction.
Piccadilly now links directly to the theatres on Shaftesbury Avenue, as well as the Haymarket, Coventry Street (onwards to Leicester Square) and Glasshouse Street. The Circus is close to major shopping and entertainment areas in the West End. Its status as a major traffic junction has made Piccadilly Circus a busy meeting place and a tourist attraction in its own right. The Circus is particularly known for its video display and neon signs mounted on the corner building on the northern side, as well as the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain and statue, which is popularly, though mistakenly, believed to be of Eros. It is surrounded by several notable buildings, including the London Pavilion and Criterion Theatre. Directly underneath the plaza is Piccadilly Circus Underground station, part of the London Underground system.

Brens Top Tips To Get Started
1. Invest In Good Runners
It is important you get a runner with plenty of cushion, stability & protection. If you intend running it and continue running after I highly recommend you go to a speciality running store to get your foot measured & striking pattern analysed. Any good sports shop will be able to advise you correctly and if you are seeking a good bargain I picked a nice pair up in the Kildare outlet village some time back. There is an asics store there now.
2. Plan Your Training & Stick To it Best You Can
We have 14 weeks to go which is plenty of time but the sooner you start the better. There is a great training guide on the flora mini marathon site which I recommend you have a look at. It has one for walkers, joggers & runners. Do your best, if you are very tired take a day off, if you miss a day due to work etc don't stress about it, just get back on track asap.
3. Track Your Nutrition
There are lots of free apps that allow you to track your daily food. This is a great way to get to keep on top of your daily calorie consumption and to identify areas that may need improving. I use my fitness pal which is free. You can change the settings online to 6 meals instead of breakfast, lunch & dinner. I will send across nutrition guidelines once all the ladies are signed up.
4. Warm Up Correctly & Cool Down
I will do a video on correct warm up routines but some guidelines are walk for 5 mins first to warm up the muscles, especially if you have been at a computer all day. Do dynamic stretching instead of static. If you are unsure what this means, do some googling and I will get cracking on a vid.
5. Challenge Yourself
Each time you go for a walk/jog/run push yourself. If you haven't exercised in a while you will feel it in your lungs, your muscles, if you are running your body may be screaming at you to stop but try push yourself that little bit more each time. Take long deep breaths. You will feel this even more in the chest if you are a smoker.
6. Stay Hydrated
Aim to get 2-3 litres in per day. We are approx. 60% water so its essential to keep us healthy. It will help prevent muscle cramps, promote weight loss, flush out toxins, improves skin complexion & more.
7. Eat Fresh
Eat fresh food only if possible. Fresh meat, fish, veg, fruit etc. Avoid all processed food. I am not saying give it up completely but if you are reliant on processed foods time for a change. Instead of trying to drastically change everything at once, aim to make 2-3 improvements each wk. If you try improve every wk, its endless.
8. Have Fun!
I have found that people get very stressed when embarking on a fitness regime. Its understandable because its linked to how they look and in turn how they feel but keep smiling, doing something is better than nothing. You will most likely have a disastrous wk where you might not be able to train. Your eating will be all over the place. That just happens so if it does, take a deep breath, forget about it and try again.

Streets of Galway 2014
In 1518 the Galway City Council decreed Neither O' nor Mac shall strut ne swagger through the streets of Galway. Now nearly 500 years later the Galway City Harriers give you the opportunity to strut, swagger, run, jog or walk in the Streets of Galway road race.
2014 sees the 29th year of the famous Streets of Galway. Beginning in 1986 at the tail end of the first running boom, this year, in the midst of an even bigger running boom, Galway City Harriers AC as race organisers hope to attract 2500 participants onto the streets of our city and suburbs.
This year we are delighted to again have Kearney Cycles, kearneycycles.com/, as the title sponsor. Local businessman and talented runner Martin Kearney with his family have operated the cycle shop in Galway since 1990. Located in the Terryland Retail Park, Headford Road they are one of Ireland's leading bike shops, with over 5500 square feet, 200 different models on display, and a further 500 in store.
The race starts at the Claddagh, home to the world famous Claddagh ring and takes in many of the sights of Galway city. In the first km the route passes the Spanish Arch, Quay St. and the Druid Theatre. Eyre Square makes for a distinctive 1km marker and not to be outdone the 2km marker is at Galway Cathedral.
The course then takes you out towards Salthill, past Pearse Stadium and then back in on the 'Prom' along Galway Bay for the last 2.5 km. If the prevailing westerly wind prevails you'll have the wind at your back for a speedy gallop home before a sprint to the finish line at Nimmo's pier.
Join us afterwards for the traditional cup of tea and race analysis. Then I'm afraid there's just too many options to mention. Galway is legendary around the world for its entertainment scene, so why not combine this with the 'Streets' for a great night or weekend in the City of the Tribes.

Life after Modelling - 'December 21st' (Neosupervital Remix)
Life after Modelling (circa 2003-2005) was a Dublin/Irish band that rose from the ashes of the band Deputy Fuzz. LAM was a 4-piece with Matthew Palmer(Matthew J. Anthony/Life After Modelling), Bennie Reilly (Little X's for Eyes) and James Byrne (Life After Modelling & Villagers) as the constant members. Bronwyn Murphy-White (Grand Pocket Orchestra & Deputy Fuzz), Darragh Keogh (The NPB), Ronan Jackson (Coldspoon Conspiracy, Jogging, Crayon Smith & Warlords of Pez) and Shane Cullen (K9 Studios) all did live bass duty at one time or another for the group. They released one record, December 21st EP, on their own label, Model One Records, in Oct 2004 and toured Ireland and the UK during the 2003-2005 period before splitting in January 2005 after playing a Tsunami benefit in Dublin's Vicar St. venue. They played Oxegen music festival in July 2004 and supported Bell X1 the same year for the Irish leg of their tour. They played support to Supergrass, The Fall and Camera Obscura at Dublin shows and toured a lot with fellow Dublin band The NPB. They played a good bit with The Dudley Corporation, Neosupervital and The Immediate to boot! Valerie Francis engineered their live sound quite a lot also! Matthew and James are currently working (and re-working and over-working!) on new material, under the monicker 'Matthew J. Anthony', which will see the light of day in 2012-ish. Enjoy!
Irish Mist - In The Ghetto
Irish Mist - Joe Giltrap & Malcolm Rogers present a Celtic version of the classic song 'In The Ghetto' (Copyright - Mac Davis) made popular by Elvis Presley.
This heartfelt Celtic interpretation by Irish Mist is dedicated to the memory of seven year old boy Patrick Dooley (1991 to1998), who never grew up to face the challenges of his background.
Patrick was crushed under a vehicle when the police evicted his traveller family community from a stopover site under a flyover of the North Circular Road in Edmonton, London in 1998 to move them on.
