I traveled to Riga for only 4 days and managed to see and do a lot in that short given timeframe. Riga is the largest city of the Baltics and offers a lot of cool things to do in Riga itself but also just a short train ride out of the center in Sigulda.
This video showcases the combination of a city trip and and action packed day out in the nature. My personal highlight has been the flight in the vertical wind tunnel Aerodium near Sigulda - if you feel like you can even go Bungee Jumping there.

Indian summer in Sigulda, town in the Vidzeme Region of Latvia, 53 kilometres (33 miles) from the capital city Riga. There are different versions of the origin of the name Sigulda. One of the most plausible variants is the derivative of the German name Segewold from Sieg + Wald, which means victory forest and indicates the victory of the Crusaders and Semigallians in the battle of the Livs in 1206.
Zelta rudens Sigulda.

Latvia Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Latvia.
Latvia is a small Baltic republic, a country with a strong national identity, situated within the centre of the Baltic States. Throughout the course of history its desire for freedom has always taken it forward. Riga is the capital of Latvia, a Hanseatic city and European capital of culture. Saint Petri Church is one of the oldest in the centre of the city and, at the same time, a main landmark. It is one of the most important sacred buildings of the Middle Ages and is closely linked with the development of the city. Close to Riga is Jurmala, today a popular health resort on the Latvian Riviera, with splendid bay-windowed villas, battlements and towers, formerly Baroque and later with a nod at Gothic. Thirty kilometres of beaches with bright erinaceous quartz and a mild climate created a holiday paradise in the nineteenth century. Amid the fertile Zemgale Plain is the magnificent, huge Baroque Jelgava Castle, the largest in Latvia. In 1737 the residence of the then secular ruler of the Duchy Of Kurland was built on the ramparts of an ancient castle of the Livonian Order. Beneath the southeast corner of the castle is the Crypt Of The Dukes, a tomb vault with thirty superbly decorated sarcophagi of tin and wood. The picturesque primordial river valley of Gauja has for centuries attracted travellers from each corner of the world. This Livonian Switzerland not only has the charm of primary nature, but also all the ambience of the Middle Ages. Today’s Latvia is now striking a healthy balance between a market economy, ancient traditions and the burdensome legacy of a turbulent past. Its journey into the European Union has been a success, thanks to courage, strength and faith!

Sigulda Riga Latvia Travel Video DJI Osmo 4K 2017 a two part video of my Riga trip. It was the first time I travelled alone. The original plan was to go to Riga and Estonia. However, I cancelled my Estonia trip and asked one of my Latvian friend for recommendations and she suggested to visit Sigulda. It was amazing. I walked from the bus station to the castle. I walked along the highway, it was scary but man, I made it!

Часть1 [Latvia. Sigulda. Part 1]
We came for a walk in Sigulda. From Riga we got by train. First of all, we went to the tourist center - it is located in the station building. In addition to souvenirs for yourself and loved ones, it is possible to recruit various guidebooks in order not to get lost among the many attractions of this city and its surroundings. Sigulda is a very cozy town, with beautiful lawns, parks, flower beds, fountains and fabulous houses. If you want to enjoy the view of the city from a height - go to the Lutheran church. On its bell tower there is an observation deck. We didn’t spend much time on this trip on Sigulda itself, but decided to get to Turaida castle as soon as possible. on the way admiring the beauty of the natural park. Chitobi can cross the river Gauja, you can use the cable car or go on foot - the descent is 100 meters away. Opening hours of the cable car from 10-00 to 18-30. one-way ticket price 7 euro, round-trip 12 euro. For children 5 and 8 euros, respectively.
