한국 최대 인공습지 안산갈대공원

안산 갈대습지는 시화호의 수질개선을 위해 조성한 1,037,500㎡(32만평) 규모의 국내 최초의 대규모 인공습지다. 1997년 9월에 착공하여 2002년 5월에 개장한 안산 갈대습지는 시화호 상류로부터 유입되는 반월천의 비점오염원을 상시 처리 할 뿐만 아니라 생물의 서식처 기능과 시민들이 쉽게 접할 수 있는 생태공원 및 교육장의 역할을하고 있다 .
