Silanguin Cove, San Antonio, Zambales, Philippines
The lesser known cove in Zambales has the most intimate summer feel.
How to get to Silanguin Cove:
From Manila to Pundaquit - ride a Victory Liner bus from Cubao to Sta. Ana or Iba. Then rent a trike that will take you to Pundaquit.
From Pundaquit, you can rent a boat that will take you to Silanguin Cove.

Silanguin, Nagsasa & Anawangin Coves - Zambales
Today is the day we visit Silanguin cove, Nagsasa cove & Anawangin cove in zambales.
Zambales is mostly known for having spectacular coves with mountains in the background and pristine clear water as clear as glass.
We headed to Silanguin cove first, which is supposed to be the very best cove because of how remote it is. People do not often come here because it is far away at 1 hour 30 travel time on a small boat and 2 hours on the bigger boat. Silanguin is very pristine and very quiet because only a small handful of people live on the island. This island is very very special and is right up there for one of the best islands we have been to in any part of the Philippines.
Next up was Nagsasa cove, like silanguin nagsasa has equally pristine water and is very beautiful however is a little more built up with huts and people because it is closer and more manageable for people to reach. It has the famous zambales mountains still in the background and makes for a very very beautiful island. You can also pickup drinks and snacks here and can even camp here for the night if you want.
Last up was anawangin cove, the most touristy and busy of the 3 coves but the water is still very very good as always in the Philippines. You can camp here to if you wish. anawangin is the closest island to pundaquit beach at around 20-30 minutes boat ride so most of the tourists will stop here and possibly nagsasa but very rarely reach silanguin. By the point of reaching anawangin we was so tired thirsty and hungry we had no energy to really get involved but it is definitely a lovely place and 100% worth the visit
You can probably tell but our favorite was silanguin cove it was by far the best for beauty and rawness at the same time and highly recommend you visit there if you can

Pundaquit Beach - Zambales Philippines
Today is our 1st full hot sunny beach day in pundaquit zambales, once again the Philippines does not disappoint.
pundaquit is a tiny town in the province of zambales in central luzon. Pundaquit seems like its a up and coming area with a few resorts now being built. The area is charming and feels like a really nice small community here with the locals and few tourists mixing, you get a sense of relaxation and calmness and chilled vibes.
Pundaquit beach is beautiful with a insane backdrop of the mountains which make for great photos. The sand is really nice with a hint of grey in from when the mountain erupted in 1991. The beach is very very clean to, its literally picture perfect as many beaches are in the Philippines.
The ocean is a little more blue here than the crystal clear water we have come to expect but its ok, a short boat ride to anawangan nagsasa or silanguin cove will give you the crystal clear water you will be hoping for.
Zambales so far has set a high bar for what to expect from this province and we are looking forward to finding more of what zambales has to offer.

Travel Zambales 2017
May 16-18, 2017
Spent 3 days and 2 nights traveling around Zambales with my med school classmates and buddies!
We were able to go to: Capones x Nagsasa x Anawangin x Masinloc x Candelaria x Potipot
When going to Pundaquit, I highly recommend take Anawangin -AMAZING PUNDAKIT BOAT TOURS to take you around the islands and coves.
( ) look for Nanay Josie.
We also did the Masinloc Eco Tour which is being managed by the Masinloc local government. They take you to their giant clams, mangroves, and Bacala guest house.
For both nights, we stayed at Alta Niña Beach Resort in Candelaria. It's a simple and quiet beach resort which is great for families and barkadas looking to get away and have a great time in Zambales.
