In this episode we snorkel at the Belize Barrier Reef. We take a boat out to an area called Silk Caye. The tour guide showed us around the area surrounded in reef. At the end we swam around with a group of nurse sharks, eagle rays, and big turtles. Next is the final episode of Belize, where we will enjoy Placencia and Monkey River.

Swimming with Sea Turtles at Silk Caye, Placencia, Belize
Dive into the majestic blue waters surrounding the Silk Cayes off the coast of Placencia, southern Belize and interact with wise-looking logger head turtles and marvel at the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef of Belize which lies approximately 20 miles east of the popular touristic peninsula. The Silk Cayes are part of the larger Marine Reserve and have a couple of great dive sites along superb snorkeling locations that boast a great variety of marine life. At any the sites you will have the opportunity to see turtles, nurse sharks, and Caribbean reef sharks, as well as other exotic and colorful smaller fish species. The actual cayes, Silk Cayes (also known as Queen Cayes) are located about a mile inside the barrier reef.

Caye Caulker & Placencia, Belize 2019: World's 2nd largest coral reef & Belize Caribbean coast 4K
Check out our video of 10 days spent in Caye Caulker Belize and Placencia in the South of the country. During our stay in Caye Caulker at Barefoot Caye Caulker Hotel, we explored the island, ate some of the best lobster and seafood of our lives and did a snorkeling tour to the Hol Chan national reserve, part of 2nd biggest coral reef in the world in Belize. During the Caye Caulker snorkeling tour with Salt Life Eco Tours, we saw nurse sharks, manatees, turtles, eagle rays, sting rays & much more.
From Caye Caulker, Belize, we then headed south to Placencia, a small and relaxed vibe town where we spent a few days before catching the once a week direct boat to Puerto Cortes, Honduras. Like Caye Caulker, there's plenty of snorkel tours, fishing tours and island trips you can do from Placencia, although we spent most of the time relaxing on the beach and around the town having already done the tours we wanted to in Caye Caulker.

I'll will ultimately put together a video from the whole vacation. To keep it short and relatively entertaining, most of these scenes will be removed for time, captioned, or edited. The audio will likely be replaced with music. I like to set aside a cut without much production or polish.

Huge Sea Turtles in Belize 2 | Snorkeling Silk Caye
After a 2-tank scuba dive and 2 snorkel outings around Silk Caye off the coast of Belize, we visited the area where local fishermen clean their catch. Sting rays, nurse sharks and 5 foot long, majestic sea turtles were waiting for scraps. At somewhere around 5', these two turtles are the largest I've ever seen in the wild.

Once in a lifetime visit to Belize laughing bird caye : Episode 1
In this Episode I visit Laughing Bird Caye, I went with 3 boat loads of my family and friends, to this rare treasure.
The Island is a world preservation site, so visitors are limited to a small number of people daily and by the end of the day only my family and I remained, leaving the Caye all to ourselves, making this a once in a life time family moment with my daughters and the rest of our family.
