Mens vi venter på golfturneringen Made in Denmark
30. august til 2. september kommer European Tour-karavanen en tur forbi Silkeborg.
Det er Silkeborg Ry Golfklub der lægger græs til, når mange af de bedste
golfspillere i Europa dyster om en samlet præmiesum på 1.500.000 €. Blandt de
156 spillere er alle de danske Europa tour-spillere med Thomas Bjørn, Thorbjørn
Olesen og Søren Kjeldsen i spidsen samt verdensnavne som Lee Westwood
(tidligere nr. 1 på verdensranglisten) og altid farverige John Daly.
Turneringen i Silkeborg er den sidst tællende for spillerne i bestræbelserne på at
kvalificere sig til det europæiske Ryder Cup hold, som i september møder de
bedste amerikanske spillere på Le Golf National i Paris.
Det er 5. gang Made in Denmark løber af stablen, og første gang den ikke spilles på
Himmerland Golf og Spa Resort.

Denmark LDET Championship 2016
The Swedish Emil Rosberg won the Denmark LDET Championship beating Teemu Pitkänen with a best hit of 333 yards after playing three sets in an unprecedented final in the four years of the circuit. In the second tournament of the season, held at the Silkeborg Ry Golfklub in the tee #1, 25 hitters from all over Europe participated. Surprisingly, Maurice Allen fell in the quarterfinals beaten by the champion of the tournament.
