Singapore Marina Bay Cruise Centre Terminal Port Tour & Embarkation
Take a tour of the Singapore Marina Bay Cruise Centre during an embarkation process of a cruise ship (in this case the Majestic Princess) and see what that was like. This was different than other cruises we have taken that originated within the USA, mainly because immigration was involved. It made the process more lengthy. Also make sure you have the Singapore Immigration Card provided at the Changi airport if you flew in like we did. In our case we had to wait about an hour and a half before boarding (we arrived about 11:00 AM and did not board until 1:30 PM). Also be prepared for the fact that the cruise line will collect your passport after passing Singapore immigration.
The Marina Bay Cruise Port terminal itself was modern with nice facilities and good view of the waters & the cruise ship docked next to it. Even though this was a Princess Cruise, we noticed that the terminal had a sign welcoming Royal Caribbean guests :-).

In this video, I show you the public areas of the Marina Bay Cruise Terminal, Singapore, including the walk to the nearby MRT station (Marina Bay South, on the North East line).
It is very convenient. The MRT station is a 500M walk from the cruise terminal, flat ground, covered walkway. The MRT station is called Marina South Pier - the last stop on the North-South line. Very convenient if you want to take the train to Orchard MRT. Alternatively, take the train to City Hall and change for the East-West Line or take the train to Dhoby Ghaut for other lines.

With the opening of the Marina South Pier station, it becomes easy to board your cruise ship using the MRT. There is a sheltered walkway and the walk is very flat, easy to pull your luggage.
As a plus point, you will get great views of the Marina Bay Cruise Terminal the moment you exit the MRT station! Take Exit A for the Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Exit B is for the Ferry Terminal.

Harbourfront Singapore Cruise Centre Walk To Harbourfront MRT Station
I show you the arrivals at Singapore Cruise Center at Harbourfront. This cruise center can only take the smaller ships due to the height constraints and turning radius of the harbour. The largest ship I know that calls at this cruise center would be the Royal Caribbean Vision-Class cruise ships. All the larger ships have to dock at Marina Bay Cruise Terminal.
In this video, I start at the arrivals hall, and then take a walk to the Harbourfront MRT station. MRT is our version of the Metro (Underground). It is a very easy walk. Follow the signs which says MRT. You can see many shops along the way, including Starbucks, McDonald's, Cold Storage (a supermarket) and more.

Singapore International Cruise Terminal
The Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (also known as the International Cruise Terminal and abbreviated as MBCCS) is a new cruise terminal in Singapore which is located at Marina South next to the Marina South Pier. The S$500 million terminal began constructing in October 2009 and completed on May 22, 2012. It received its first ship, the Voyager of the Seas, on 26 May 2012. The official opening ceremony of MBCCS was on October 22, 2012.
Occupying 28,000 square metres, equivalent to three football fields, the MBCCS is designed as an architectural icon with the capability to accommodate some of the world's largest ships. The terminal features a spacious arrival and departure hall as well as a large ground transportation area (GTA) to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for passengers.
Waves and nautical elements take centrestage with an undulating roofscape that mimics the breaking of waves on the shore - featuring an angular rather than curvilinear form, with alternating panels of aluminium and glass along the length of the terminal. When viewed from the towering heights of a cruise liner, the roof becomes a multi-dimensional mosaic of shapes and patterns. Passengers will be treated to a constantly changing view as the ship approaches land, creating a sense of anticipation.
The rolling waves on the terminal break form at the junction between the terminal and the ground transportation area. The spent waves, having broken, slide calmly up the shore over the GTA. The breaking point of the waves serve as a point of separation between the terminal and the GTA, functioning as a grand entrance to the terminal.
The terminal complements several other developments which have, and will become, icons of Singapore, such as the Marina Bay Financial Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer, Esplanade, and Gardens by the Bay, which as a whole represented Singapore as a complete destination with world-class attractions, infrastructure, and leisure facilities.
