Singing Sand at Great Sand Dunes
Have you ever heard sand sing? Listen to 15 seconds of this bizarre phenomenon!
Just as our own voices are made by air moving through a vibrating vocal chords, a humming sound is made at Great Sand Dunes as air is pushed through millions of tumbling sand grains during an avalanche. Avalanches occur naturally during storms, but can also be created by people pushing sand down a dune face.
In the 1940s, one of Bing Crosby's musical hits was The Singing Sands of Alamosa - a love song based on the sounds of Great Sand Dunes. This humming sound continues to inspire people today!

The Isle of Eigg - Things To Do On A Remote Island
Welcome to the Isle of Eigg. I'll take you on a guided tour. Use the D-Pad to go into the music room. Oh err oooops I mean check out the video to see some things to do and enjoy on this beautiful island. We spent a short period of time there in late March. If only work places were more generous when it comes to holidays and pension schemes. When will they realise that if people were given a reasonable amount of holidays and benefits to those who have long service, then there would be less staff turnover and less illness/sickness. Instead the majority of the population which are in low paid work get the bare minimum when it comes to holidays and pensions. People are litterally worked to death and that's probably why there is more mental health issues then ever before. Humm I can pretty much write whatever I want in here even if it's irrelevant to the video because well nobody is going to read it.

A Common Right: Scotland
Sarah Boden decided it was time to swap her busy London life as a music journalist in order to reconnect to the land and community life on the Scottish Isle of Eigg.
Thanks to the community's buy-out of the Island in 1997, it was all made possible.
This is a story of a community who have fought and won their rights to their future.
This film is part of the Global Call to Action Campaign, aimed at doubling the global area of land legally recognized as owned or controlled by Indigenous Peoples and local communities by 2020.
