lionco.com The Withdrawn West End Beer TV Advertising commercial due to its potrayed violence
ru@risk 2 The original Have a Beer with violence Australian Lion Nathan National Foods Limited with a name changed to Lion Dairy and Drink company of Australia RU@RISK
West End Beer Karma that they had been forced to withdraw and then make another version due to public blacklash
The previous adverising campaign used violence and protrayed violence to promote the now Japanese owned beer brand West End that it claims to an South Australian local.
It has forced to make another version due to public blacklash
Claiming to be a local South Australian, when in fact they are one hundred per cent owned by the Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan through Kirin Holdings and now with its company division of Lion Nathan National Foods Limited headquarters located in Melbourne Australia they are clearly not what they claim.
This TV commercial tries to exploit mythical social divisions between the South Australian and the Victorian populations.
The sole aim of increasing its beer consumption and market share.
Lion Natan National Foods Limited is a company in recent times has begun a massive sacking of its Australian employees and factory closure program involving well known market leading Australian owned milk, beer, Juice and cheese businesses it has now acquired by questionable means and with the intent to run them into the ground and then close them down for good especially in regional areas.
Please boycott Lion Nathan National foods limited brands keep Australians employed and the profits in Australia for Australians and support Australian business owners and employees.
We believe that Victorians and South Australian citizens along with other Australians are not stupid and deserve better from this Japanese Foreign owned enterprise. Than have you heard about Beer Karma advertising effort as seen on Australian Commercial TV until recently
Lil Wayne
Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. (born September 27, 1982), known by his stage name Lil Wayne, is an American hip hop recording artist from New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1991, at the age of nine, Lil Wayne joined Cash Money Records as the youngest member of the label, and half of the duo The B.G.'z, alongside fellow New Orleans-based rapper Lil' Doogie. In 1996, Lil Wayne formed the Southern hip hop group Hot Boys, with his Cash Money label-mates Juvenile, Young Turk and Lil' Doogie (who now goes by B.G.). Hot Boys debuted with Get It How U Live! that same year. Lil Wayne gained most of his success with the group's major selling album Guerrilla Warfare (1999). Along with being the flagship artist of Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne is also the chief executive officer (CEO) of his own imprint, Young Money Entertainment, which he founded in 2005.
Lil Wayne's solo debut album Tha Block Is Hot (1999), was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His following albums, Lights Out (2000) and 500 Degreez (2002), were certified gold. He reached higher popularity with his fourth album Tha Carter (2004), which was led by the single Go D.J. and his appearance on Destiny's Child's top ten single Soldier, that same year. The album was followed by Tha Carter II (2005) and several mixtapes and collaborations throughout 2006 and 2007. Wayne's sixth album Tha Carter III (2008), became his most successful album to date, with first-week sales of over one million copies in the United States. The album includes the number-one single Lollipop, as well as A Milli and Got Money, and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

SUMMARY
=======
Bermuda () is a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is approximately 1,070 km (665 mi) east-southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina; 1,236 km (768 mi) south of Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia; and 1,759 km (1,093 mi) north of Cuba. The capital city is Hamilton. Bermuda is self-governing, with its own constitution and its own government, which enacts local laws, while the United Kingdom retains responsibility for defence and foreign relations.
Bermuda's two largest economic sectors are offshore insurance and reinsurance, and tourism. Bermuda had one of the world's highest GDP per capita for most of the 20th century. The island has a subtropical climate and lies in the hurricane belt and thus is prone to related severe weather; however, it is somewhat protected by a coral reef that surrounds the island and its position at the north of the belt, which limits the direction and severity of approaching storms.

The Guggenheim Presents | The Making of Tales of Our Time
A panel discussion on the conceptual, editorial, design, and production processes behind the exhibition catalogue Tales of Our Time featuring, from left to right, Brian Kuan Wood, Julian Myers-Szupinska, Chris Wu, Xiaoyu Weng, and moderator Lisa Naftolin. Purchase a copy of the book “Tales of Our Time” here:
More info on the exhibition, running until March 10, 2017:
A conceptual extension of the exhibition Tales of Our Time, the catalogue edited by Xiaoyu Weng and Hou Hanru blends a traditional museum publication with a fiction anthology. Featuring scholarly essays and artwork descriptions, it unconventionally examines the exhibition artists and challenges current views about art from China. Interwoven with these essays are seven commissioned short stories by Chinese and American fiction writers Han Song, Hon Lai-chu, Li Juan, Ken Liu, Lo Yi-chin, Wang Bang, and Brian Kuan Wood. The exhibition and accompanying catalogue offer a heterogeneous view of contemporary art and culture from China, highlighting tensions between individual narratives and mainstream history as well as exploring how the gaps between the two can be transcended.
Panelists:
Julian Myers-Szupinska is an art historian based in Oakland and Los Angeles. He is an associate professor at California College of the Arts (CCA), San Francisco, a member (with Joanna Szupinska) of the curatorial collaboration grupa o.k., and is Senior Editor of The Exhibitionist, a journal of exhibition-making.
Xiaoyu Weng is The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Associate Curator of Chinese Art at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and exhibition curator of Tales of Our Time. She served as the founding director of the Kadist Art Foundation’s Asia Programs, Paris and San Francisco. Previously, she worked as program director of the Asian Contemporary Art Consortium and as a curator at the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts at CCA, both in San Francisco. Educated at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing and CCA, she has organized exhibitions and public programs for venues including the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco; CAFA Art Museum, Beijing; and Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam; among others. She is a contributing editor of Leap, a bilingual magazine dedicated to contemporary Chinese art. Her writing also appears in prominent art periodicals, books, and exhibition catalogues, including those published for the 2012 Gwangju Biennial, 2012 Shenzhen Sculpture Biennial, and 2013 Auckland Triennial.
Brian Kuan Wood is a writer based in New York. He is an editor of e-flux journal.
Chris Wu is Associate Principal at Project Projects, where he leads identity, print, interactive and environmental projects for clients such as the Guggenheim Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, Philadelphia; Asia Art Archive, Hong Kong; Modern Media Group, Shanghai; and M+/West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Hong Kong. With his bilingual and multicultural background, Chris has lectured and served as a guest critic at universities and institutions internationally; he has also led a workshop on Chinese typography at the Type Directors Club in New York. In 2008 Wu authored, translated, edited, and designed a reissued edition of Graphic Design: Visual Comparisons (Zoar Press), the iconic design title originally published in 1963. His work has been widely published in design publications such as IDEA (Japan), Eye (UK), City Magazine (Hong Kong), PPaper (Taiwan), and Design 360? (China). Chris received his master’s degree in communications design at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn.
Moderator:
Lisa Naftolin is Creative Director, Publishing and Digital Media at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. She has worked on commercial and cultural projects for brands, magazines, museums, and individuals for the past 25 years. Having begun her career designing books and exhibition materials for contemporary art and experimental film, Naftolin has also worked as an art director at publications including the New York Times Magazine and Architecture. She was previously Creative Director of Art + Commerce and Executive Director of Creative Brand Development at NARS Cosmetics. The recipient of numerous professional awards, Naftolin has sat on the board of the American Institute for Graphic Arts (AIGA), New York, and on juries for the AIGA and the Hyères Festival, among others. ETC Community Support Fund Recipient - North Coast Botanic Gardens
Japanese Garden to be Regional Drawcard
The Japanese section of the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden is going to be a real showpiece thanks to community support from ETC, Rotary, TAFE, Coffs Harbour City Council and the Friends of the Gardens.
Gardens Curator Ian Corbett said they were in the midst of creating a unique regional asset.
Our Japanese Garden has been five years in the making. The Japanese say it takes 100 years to building a garden so I figure we've still got a way to go, Mr Corbett said.
ETC has recently donated $10,000 for the purchase of decorative rock, garden edging and paving materials.
Rocks are the most important feature in a Japanese garden because that's where the spirits reside, Mr Corbett said.
We've sourced the rock from Manilla, near Tamworth, to give us the look we were after.
Mr Corbett said the $575,000 project to enhance the Japanese garden relied heavily on community involvement.
Our funding is very thin so we rely on our community partners like ETC as well as Rotary who are funding the construction of a pergola and TAFE who will be constructing the contemplation room, Mr Corbett said.
The important thing is that the community is building it with us.
We have made a long term commitment to supporting employment schemes which has resulted in many currently unemployed people gaining confidence and experience working in the gardens that has helped them to re-enter the workforce.
Our working bees are also well supported by people with a range of disabilities, who with their carers, carry out general garden duties. This boosts self-esteem, self-confidence and helps remove the stigma of mental and physical disability.
Mr Corbett said once the latest stage of the Japanese garden had been completed the focus would be on attracting visitors through education programmes, weddings and other events.
Currently the Botanic Garden has annual visitation of around 60,000 people. Of this 38% are from outside the area, or interstate visitors, making us a significant tourist attraction for the Coffs Coast, Mr Corbett said.
We've already had strong interest from bridal parties to hold weddings in the Japanese garden and we expect it will be widely used by all regional schools for LOTE (Language other than English), Geography and Botanic Studies.
ETC Director Graeme Singleton said ETC was pleased to be able to support the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden through the ETC Community Support Fund.
ETC is setting aside $200,000 per annum through the ETC Community Support Fund. The fund is designed to help organisations improve the social and economic development of local communities, Mr Singleton said.
