Whiteshell River Tunnels - July 29, 2017
I spent part of the day paddling to North Cross Lake through the tunnels (with a side trip to the 'Other' tunnel) and took some video footage along the way. This provides an idea of both the lakes and the creek along the way.

Stewart Dryberry Canoe Loop Camping Trip 2011 July Long Weekend including Canada Day. The first song Ridges of Teggau is used with permission from Winnipeg musician Kevin Roy who sings about canoeing in the Experimental Lakes Area (ELA) and mentions the pictographs on Teggau Lake which are shown in this video (coordinated with the words); the song ends with images of pictographs on the north shore of Dryberry Lake. This was a 4 day canoe camping trip with friends through the ELA located East of Kenora. The second acoustic guitar recording is by friend Cristabel.

Whiteshell River - ER31 to Betula Lake.
I enjoy this section of the river. It is primarily pool and drop so the water is deep between each of the rapids/falls. There were lots of people swimming at Pine Point Rapids today. Lots of Wild Rice is blooming, in one place it filled the whole channel.
The water was quite low which meant for dry portages but a couple of the portage points were harder to access.
