ECO TALK SISIYI FALLS
Described as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Eastern Uganda, Sisiyi Falls on the edge of Mt. Elgon has for a long time served as one of the sources of water used in the region for domestic and environmental purposes.
However, the plunge waterfall is under threat with an increased water flow carrying with it a lot of debris from River Sisiyi. This could have far-reaching implications for conservation in the area if it continues. In Eco Talk tonight, we find out the extent of the problem and what should be done to stem it.

Eco Talk: Bududa area
Uganda witnessed one of the biggest tragedies ever when a landslide struck Bududa district killing about 90 people, at least 300 people are yet to be accounted for while thousands more were displaced. The disaster was partially blamed on local farmers who have stripped the slopes bare of its thick plant, forest and vegetation cover.
PERSISTENT CLOCK TOWER FLOODS
The ministry of Works and Transport has blamed the continued flooding around the Clock Tower area on poor waste management and not the road design.
Yesterday, traffic was heavy and people were delayed for hours on the Kampala Entebbe highway because of the flooding.
BULAMBULI AID AND ROADS
Almost two weeks after mudslides hit Bulambuli district, many people are still in distress but some relief has now come in from the Uganda Red Cross Society in the form of food items. Over fifty homes have been given a month's supply of food items and non food items to last them through the rainy season. But many of the roads are still flooded and the traders cannot move their goods to the markets.
