Phnom Penh WALKING TOUR: AIRPORT to City Center (Budget Travel Cambodia) {Phnom Penh, CAMBODIA}
Budget Travel Cambodia #1
A Phnom Penh walking tour from the airport to the city center, surprisingly, was exhilarating.
Phnom Penh airport to the city center is easy to travel....if public transportation is available. More challenging is to walk the 10 kilometers. After immediately receiving a Cambodia visa on arrival, transportation at Phnom Penh airport is limited after midnight with the only options being an expensive taxi or tuk-tuk ride.
Is Matt prepared to spend $15? No way, as a pleasant Cambodian night provides an immediate, boots-on-the-ground experience to walk through Phnom Penh in the late hours.
There is also a review of the Manor House, a fantastic Phnom Penh hostel.

Phnom Penh WALKING TOUR: WAT BOTUM to RIVERSIDE Park (Budget Travel Cambodia){Phnom Penh, CAMBODIA}
Budget Travel Cambodia #6
A Phnom Penh walking tour from Wat Botum to Riverside Park displays urban architecture amidst a lot of downtown green space and fresh air.
Wat Botum Park possesses a floral display and an unusual monument of international friendship. Nearby is Riverside Park, a newly renovated boulevard containing street vendors and a walking path at Sisowath Quay.
When linked together, these public parks offer a terrific walking tour of Phnom Penh. All in all, a pleasant atmosphere for Matt to enjoy an urban hike.
And if it gets too hot, Ice cream vendors are aplenty.

Inside the Traffic Jam in Phnom Penh - Cambodia 4K Travel Channel
After the fireworks at the Water Festival (Bon Om Tuk) in Phnom Penh was over, we decide to take a Tuk-Tuk to the hotel, because we were a little bit tired. The way from the Preah Sisowath Quay to the Preah Norodom Blvd is approximately 2 km. Of course we expected that the traffic would be very dense, but what came next was by far beyond our imagination.
Especially the junction of the Preah Norodom Blvd with the roundabout at the Independence Monument proves to be a bottleneck. We move forward only centimeter by centimeter. Then the out of town flowing traffic in Preah Norodom Blvd is diverted into a side street. When we realized that there the traffic doesn't move either, we leave the Tuk-Tuk. Of course we give the driver a decent tip, because he suffers from the circumstances just like us.
We try to walk the rest the way back to our hotel, but this is challenging as well. The scooters try to get through everywhere and not only block the road, but also the sidewalk. With difficulty we squeeze ourselves through the passing vehicles.
We are not sure, whether the concrete in the mixer, which is as well caught up in the traffic jam, will be solidified upon arrival.
At the latest after this experience we terribly regret, that we have not used any respiratory protection. The cough still tormented us for weeks. My wife even had to take even penicillin after our return. By then it was clear that some locals use respiratory protection not only at influenza and cold. Air pollution caused by the exhaust gases, primarily of the scooters, is tremendous.
Therefore our recommendation, if you visit a Southeast Asian metropolis, you should use a respiratory protection.

Day one in PHNOM PENH CAMBODIA
In the morning we walk to the river head over the sisowath quay, We had quick visit to Wat Phnom temple, this is a big religious historical park. In the afternoon we waited for an hour because Royal palace and Silver Pagoda will be only open at 11am and 2pm. Royal palace is close to silver pagoda so we visited this two for an hour, Palace have Entrance fee so we paid 10usd each, its quiet expensive but its worth to visit. So at Night we relax and walk again to the river since we love to walk we found this place and applause for cambodia,beers, cocktails, and other alcohol drinks are so cheap its only $1.50, then we eat to a Romantic place.. so yeah cambodia just like vietnam they are both french colony.. we had a very tiring day but worth it.
2nd day in phnom penh
We started our second day in killing fields, we booked and i was amazed that grab here is different, its like a tricycle in the phil. So we went to the killing fields its kinda boring to visit this place but if you like history for sure you will love it, we used audio handset to hear the story of killing fields, we tour the place for an hour, it was horrible to hear what happened in this area, so after we went to KF we walked again going to sisowath quay, so while were touring the place ,we found this bicycle..and we went to the russian market to buy some stuff, at night we watched cultural dance in national museum, it reminds me the phil which is we also have a cultural dance.
Third day in phnom penh, our last day..we had a quick walk again going to national museum and i craved for mango with chili since last night, So we passed by to the street to buy mango..
so yeah we only had few hours to tour this place so we walked a lot and we dont mind if we walked for 4 hours under the sun. Like killing fields we used audio to listen the history what story behind of this sculptures and statues, the entrance fee is 25usd including the audio set, after national museum we walked again going to central market and after that we went back to the hotel to get our luggage so yeah we explore Phnom penh for only three days, we had fun and enjoyed a lot on this trip..

Cambodia Travel || RUSSIAN MARKET in Phnom Penh
It was our last two days in Phnom Penh and we tried to make the best out of them before we continued our travels to Siem Reap ????.
Starting with some delicious high-end dum sum ???? and an afternoon exploring the goods at the Russian Market ????️ to learning about Cambodia's rich history ???? and eating a plentiful amount of happy pizza ????, Phnom Penh has been sooo damn memorable for us ☺️.
