Sitabuldi Fort (2020) : Military Base in Nagpur
Sitabuldi Fort, site of the Battle of Sitabuldi in 1817, is located atop a hillock in central Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. The fort was built by Mudhoji II Bhonsle, also known as Appa Sahib Bhosle, of the Kingdom of Nagpur, just before he fought against the British East India Company during the Third Anglo-Maratha War. The area surrounding the hillock, now known as Sitabuldi, is an important commercial hub for Nagpur. To the south is Nagpur Railway Station and behind it is Tekdi Ganapati, a temple of Ganesha. The fort is now home to the Indian Army's 118th infantry battalion.

What started as a routine excavation for the first and second year students of Nagpur University’s Ancient Indian History Culture and Archaeology department has led to a “chance discovery” of a medieval fort, believed to be from the 14-15th century.

This Nagardhan fort is situated in Nagpur district of Maharashtra state of India . This fort is in Vakatak, which has an ancient history. From Ramtek , about 7 km north east. This place is situated at the distance. This place was known as 'Nandivardhana' in the 4th century AD. It is a misconception that Nandhana is situated on the west side of Nagarjan village. There is a temple of Ganesh in the middle of this entrance . Umlatti Kamal Pushpe is the symbol of Yadavas on both sides of the entrance. On the left side there is a darrupal craft. It is a rectangular particle. There is a bay inside here. It should be from the time of the King of Gond. Here there is a stairwell of stairs.
