My buddy Hal who lives on the Westside of Kelowna is a retired City of Vancouver Police Sgt and his lovely wife Carol is also a Brit from Derby in the UK. Hal and Carol are two of the nicest people I ever met...
And in Penticton are another two of the nicest people I ever met are Joe Morelli and his wife Donna they run a well known Hotel in Penticton

Beautiful long and broad beach fronting shallow warm water. Ample FREE parking at many locations for easy access to the beach and facilities. Marina with boat and water sports rentals, motels and camping make this a favourite beach for many who return yearly. We found Motels right on the beach with rates $135 - 155 per night. Lots of grass areas for picnicking, tennis courts all make this a great beach. The only negative is if the wind comes up the water can become choppy very quickly, on the positive it's great for windsurfing and kiting. Penticton is a more youth and family oriented resort destination then Kelowna.

Penticton- Package Explosion- Sun Leisure Trailer Park Skaha Lake Road
Nov 30,2016 Wednesday Morning at 10:51am a heavy Emergency response was called for a package explosion at a mobile home at Sun leisure Trailer park. Reports are of a package that exploded causing a loud bang in the park and smoke coming from a unit. Firefighters confirmed no fire occurred after the explosion. One patient was found with injuries but its unknown the extent of the injuries. The Scene is locked down while RCMP investigate further and Penticton Fire Fighters are remaining on scene to assist RCMP in case anything else comes up during investigation.
