Unintentional Solo Circumnavigate of Skaha Lake April18th2013
I had only planned on a short paddle to Kaleden along the West shoreline of Skaha Lake but continued on to Okanagan Falls then back along the East shoreline back to Penticton. Which ended up a Circumnavigate of the lake again. The new Webbed Paddles sure made a difference for the trip. Last season my paddle time was about 7 hours this time my time was 4.5 hours. Quite a difference. Mind you we did hit a bit of a headwind coming back last time, but even still ended up quite a bit faster paddle time. Hope you enjoy the video and please post your comments I enjoy reading them.

Mountain Driving From Valemount BC To Penticton BC By David Hryciuk
Along my way from Edmonton to Penticton BC, this video covers the halfway point at Valemount BC to Penticton BC. This drive is full of spectacular mountains and traverses very diverse regions. From Valemount, it passes through sand dunes and dry forest before reaching up into the Cariboo Mountains with interior rain forest, lakes, glaciers, high peaks and hanging valleys near Blue River BC. BC's Highway 5 then descends down into canyons, parklands, meadows, dry forest and mountains around Barriere BC. From there, it enters the desert and badlands between the mountain ranges in Kamloops. Once again, you ascend back into gorgeous mountains along BC's Highway 97 before descending into the lakes, desert, parklands, forests, vineyards, orchards, towns, mountains and cities that make up the patchwork that is the Okanagan Valley in BC.
Kayaking Winter Winds - SNOW DAY Skaha Lake Log:Jan6th2013
With a 35kmh headwind from the South with gusts at least 40kmh. I attempted to paddle along the East shoreline towards Okanagan Falls (South from my area) but couldn't get past the point (approx 1.5km away), after numerous attempts I finally packed it in for the day and managed to at least get some paddle video and photos and a heck of a workout. The Tsunami glided well, the rudder made a huge difference while heading into the windy waves.
Hope you like the video, please subscribe if you enjoy. Paddle with you soon!

BC Winegrowers See Ya Later Ranch (Okanagan Falls)
See Ya Later Ranch was founded by Major Hugh Fraser in 1919. It was named after his London bride who upon seeing the rustic surroundings left both the Valley and a three-word note in a frying pan - “See ya later.” Today, winemaker Dave Carson, oversees one of the oldest and highest vineyard sites in all of the Okanagan Valley planted to pinot noir, riesling and the largest single plot of gewürztraminer (65 acres) in North America. Ride with us as we visit See Ya Later Ranch along one of the great backroads of British Columbia wine country.
