Our second gay-friendly hotel during our trip to Stockholm was the eco-friendly Hotel Skeppsholmen located at one of the smallest and greenest of them, Skeppsholmen. The owner of the contemporary hotel fuses ancient tradition with modern style in historical buildings from 1699. The unique Scandinavian interior was made by the renowned Swedish architect and interior firm Claesson Koivisto Rune. Enjoy our hotel review and beauty of Stockholm through a couple of men's eyes!

OurTour Motorhome Parking on Skeppsholmen in Central Stockholm, Sweden
There are a range of options for parking your motorhome or campervan in central Stockholm. For example, there are two aires quite close to the centre for about £20 a night: husbilstockholm.se, although one of these is only open for the summer. We opted to try one of the other parking-only (no services) locations alongside the harbour, taken from the park4night.com database, this one is on the island of Skeppsholmen. This costs around £5.50 per 24 hours, and is not secured but shared with cars. We had planned on only staying one night then moving to a husbilsccamping (aire), but the location here is perfect, just a 10 min walk to the old town, and it feels very safe. After two nights we have found it to be very quiet at night too (a fair few tourists knocking about in October during the day). For GPS and more, please see ourtour.co.uk.

In the middle of Stockholm you´ll find the small island of Skeppsholmen. I always recommend out of town guests a stroll around the island and lunch at the Moderna Museet as a part of their Stockholm experience. This was filmed from a bike a Sunday late October 2019.
