Skiddaw House YHA & Skiddaw, Lake District - 14 January 2017
An 8.8 mile round trip from Latrigg Car Park outside of Keswick. Initially the route heads east before heading north at Glenderaterra Beck. From here the route follows the path north to wards Skiddaw House YHA. At Skiddaw House YHA the route leaves the main path and bears south west up a faint path climbing Sale How before joining the main path to Skiddaw. Heading north along the main path the route reaches the summit of Skiddaw. The return is made along the main path until the route meets the fence that leads south east towards Skiddaw Little Man and Skiddaw Lesser Man. The final return is made back along the main path.

Lake District Country Walk Skiddaw via Little Man and Carl Side from Latrigg Car Park round
Our video is a guided country walk in the Lake District, Cumbria. From Latrigg car park we walk up to Little Man then continue up to Skiddaw and return via Carl Side, Doups and Millbeck. This is a hard walk on well defined gravel paths and tracks with steep inclines and declines. The descent down from Skiddaw to Carl Side is very steep on loose shale and stones so please take care.
Elevation: Approx lowest point 113.11m (371.1ft) approx highest point 927.90m (3044.3ft) approx total ascent 856.21m (2809ft).
Approx 7 miles allow 4 - 5 hours using OS Explorer Map OL4, The English Lakes North-western area.
Start point: Car park at the end of Gale Road just below Latrigg summit.

Fell running in the Lake District
Last weekend we camped in the Lake District for a couple of nights. On the Sunday afternoon, we attempted to run up Skiddaw, our first real fell run.

Hiking Skiddaw - Lake District
Early May we did a last minute trip to the lake district. I had a bad knee and it was bloody windy (not good for sound quality), but i think we got a pretty decent video out of it after all thanks to Ben's Gopro.
Skiddaw - Lake District
Sun 28 Dec 14 saw my wife and I drive to the Lake District to climb Skiddaw via Ulloch Pike.
The weather was fantastic and the views were a real treat.
I recorded the route using Viewranger for iPhone and shared the route live via shareyouradventure.com

Skiddaw via Ullock Pike, Long Side, Carl Side and returning by Bakestall, Dead Crags and Whitewater Dash (waterfall). Views include Criffel in Scotland and the Robin Rigg Offshore Wind Farm in the Solway Firth.
Carl Side & Skiddaw, Lake District - 31 March 2019
A 9.7 mile round trip from Keswick. The route inintially heads north to Applethwaite and then Millbeck before joining the path up Carl Side. From here we then take the diagional route up the steep scree to the summit of Skiddaw. The return leg is made skirting Little Man and then joining the Cumbria Way back to Keswick.

Here we tackle the highest fell in the Northern part of the Lake District - Skiddaw. On route we go over 'Little man' and as we
drop down we discover the joys of 'Lonscale Fell' This concludes all the video's and peaks in this area. Music in the video is as follows:
