Skiing the Austrian Alps - Dorfgastein Grossarl and Sportgastein
The Gastein valley offers four attractive ski resorts with a wide range of blue, red and black slopes. Therefore, everyone might easily find perfect slopes in order to collect lots of kilometres during the skiing holidays.
Dorfgastein-Grossarl (Großarl)
Located at the beginning of the Gastein Valley, Dorfgastein-Großarl (830m-2013, alt) is a family-friendly ski resort.
The first ski area of the Gasteinertal offers a diverse family-friendly supply of varied descents, from the beginner to the expert, high comfort with modern cable railway- and lift facilities and an unique, particularly ethnic ski-huts atmosphere. With the Gipfelbahn Fulseck you can reach the highest point of Dorfgastein-Großarltal. From the Fulseck you`ll have the best panorama view, which stretches from the Großglockner to the Dachstein. Very well prepared pistes invite you to an adventurous ski- and snowboard pleasure.
Sportgastein
Sportgastein (1590m-2650m alt) is the highest located skiing area in Ski amadé. Is the perfect choice for enthusiastic freeriders and off-piste skiers.
Sportgastein is the place where sporty types feel at home. Skiers' dreams become true, as soon as the snow conditions allow the leaving of the carpet of prepared pistes – as well as in powder snow or on crispy spring snow. After a thousand metres of skiing in deep powder snow or the dream of mogul pistes you will land at the valley station of the Goldbergbahn.
Special tip: ski route 1+2+3: Powder as far as the eye can see.

Op verkenning in Grossarl en Dorfgastein
Vandaag neem ik jullie mee naar het skigebied van Grossarl en Dorfgastein. Samen hebben deze gebieden 77 kilometer aan pistes. Hier vind je veel rode afdalingen, maar je kunt ook met blauw van boven naar beneden komen. Je vindt hier veel typische snelweg afdalingen: lang en breed. Ook is het hier lekker rustig dus voldoende ruimte om te skiën. Mijn aanrader is de rode 6a, een superbrede dalafdaling. Je voelt er trouwens niets van dat het twee losse gebieden zijn…

Die Talabfahrt nach Dorfgastein. Aufgenommen am 01.03.2018. Start direkt unterhalb der Mühlwinkelhütte. Gut zu erkennen sind die in 2016 vorgenommenen Ausbauten bei 0:20 (Verbreitern der Engstelle unterhalb vom Mühlwinkel) und 1:35 (Anpassung des Zielhangs).
