Die Winterberger haben sich für das schlimmste Szenario vorbereitet und haben in zwei Snowmaker investiert, womit auch bei Plusgraden Schnee produziert werden kann. Einer davon hat schon an der Ruhrquelle ihren Betrieb aufgenommen. Saisonstart im Sauerland? 15. November!

On my way from Köln to Kassel i made a short stop in Wintergerg. I started from the parking lot to make a small round trip. It was cold with 1 degree and slightly windy. It was nice to get an overview. Have fun while watching.

From the bridge you have a panoramic view into the countryside. You also have a bird's eye view of the Winterberg bobsleigh track, ski runs, summer toboggan run, and the downhill tracks of the Bike Park.
The bridge opened on September 28, 2006.
The town of Winterberg is located in the middle of the Sauerland, in the Hochsauerland district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
The Sauerland is a rural, hilly area spreading across most of the south-eastern part of North Rhine-Westphalia, in parts heavily forested and, apart from the major valleys, sparsely inhabited.
