Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands), British Columbia - beautiful wilderness
Haida Gwaii, is an archipelago approximately 45-60 km off the northern Pacific coast of Canada. Part of the Canadian province of British Columbia, the islands were formerly and are still commonly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands.
Haida Gwaii consists of two main islands: Graham in the north and Moresby Island in the south, along with approximately 150 smaller islands with a total landmass of 10,180 km2. Other major islands include Anthony Island, Burnaby Island, Alder Island and Kunghit Island.

Jody and I are on our way to hike the Sleeping Beauty Trail climbing Mt. Raymond & Mt. Geneveive. We stopped here at the roadside on our way up one mountain only to have to drive down it again in order to park and find a trail to take us back up another mountain. Confused yet? LOL

My last hike in Haida Gwaii. Bittersweet. Beautiful day hiking with friends. The Haida people have 2 clans, you are either a child of a raven or an eagle. Kind of a cool history, however my prayer is that they consider themselves ultimately a child of the Creator God. Filmed in 4K.

Mount Hays Hike
At the beginning of August we climbed to the very top of Mount Hays. Not the lookout which is over the Container Terminal, but to the very top where the radio towers are!
Way back in the day there used to be a gondola which would whisk you to the top, but it burned in the 1990s. Today views can be hard to come by once you're at the top, but there are a multitude of viewpoints which offer a pretty good lookout. We did manage to see a point of Haida Gwaii and Alaska though!

This is a great outdoors picnic adventure, they eat in nature, surrounded by fresh air.
They have a splashing water fun time in the pool, they slide and swim, splash it’s like a real pool party ! Later, little Elsa has an idea to make the pool even better and beautiful with lots of colors. Watch them play, relax, enjoy the camping . Amazing outdoors picnic adventure!
