It's a small impression of the beautfiul botanic garden of Kirstenbosch. The skeleton gorge hike starts here too. I've only been to the waterfall (about a half an hour walk total time).

How to easily install your dash cam visit:
traficam cape town was created on 23 August 2017. The videos uploaded was not intentionally recorded or edited to highlight any good or bad drivers on our roads, but just an observation of my driving from point a-z (atoz). Driver education is the key motivation as to why I installed a dash cam in my vehicle. Lets face it, as drivers we do sometimes make mistakes on the road without even realising it. When we do look back we can educate ourselves and learn from our mistakes. The camera we using is the Qvia QR790 from finedashcam.com

Make a Water Wise Garden in Cape Town
Cape Town's crippling water crises means we locals have to rethink the way we live our lives; part of the answer lies outside the backdoor. It's time to convert your water-guzzling garden into a water-wise one. It's cheap, easy & spectacularly rewarding. Watch this video & read the blog - The return of Cape Flats Fynbos - and find out how.

KIRSTENBOSCH GARDENS, CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA
kirstenbosch gardens, cape town, south africa
The best botanical gardens i have ever visited. In a great setting with table mountain rising above it. If you like gardens with lots of different species of plants then visit this one.
we also got great views of a family of spotted eagle owls with chicks.
Kirstenbosch is the name of a famous botanical garden nestled at the foot of Table Mountain in Cape Town. (It is on the eastern slopes of the mountain, not on the northern side normally depicted in the standard tourist snapshots). (Kirstenbosch should not be confused with the similarly named suburb of Kirstenhof which lies some 10 km to the south.)
The garden is one of nine National Botanical Gardens covering five of South Africa's six different biomes. When Kirstenbosch, the most famous of the gardens, was founded in 1913 to preserve the country's unique flora, it was the first botanical garden in the world with this ethos. Furthermore, what makes the Gardens so famous worldwide is that (with minor exceptions) only indigenous plants are cultivated.
The garden includes a large conservatory (The Botanical Society Conservatory) exhibiting plants from a number of different regions, including savanna, fynbos, karoo and others. Outdoors, the focus moves to plants native to the Cape region, highlighted by the spectacular collections of proteas.

Inner City Garden Cape Town
16 and half years ago this garden was an empty lot, a neighborhood dump. 90m3 of rubble were removed and slowly the magic of landscaping began. Although situated within 10mins of Cape Town City's centre, the garden is tranquil and full of birds. The sound of water and the Koi pond assist with the natural ambiance.

Boschendal Garden at the Cape Town Flower Show 2016
In case you missed us at the Cape Town Flower Show 2016, here is a short clip of our Boschendal Show Garden.
The garden was separated by a miniature version of our historic Boschendal Manor House. The smaller area represented our 330 year heritage and on the other side, the emergence of Boschendal as a farm to table destination, driven by its ethos of working with nature to produce real food.
