Steve King's 10th Gig at Smoke & Mirrors, Bristol, 15th Nov 2017
My tenth gig at the Joke and Mirrors night at Bristol's Smoke & Mirrors pub on Wednesday 15th November 2017.
Sorry about the poor picture quality. My friend who kindly filmed it for me hadn't adjusted the focus.
I do not encourage, advocate, or otherwise promote in ingestion or inhalation of buttons! Especially those found in little plastic bags! ;-)

Dexter's Wish To Be A Magician With Britain's Got Talent Magician Jamie Raven | Make-A-Wish UK
Dexter's wish to be a magician came true with the help of Make-A-Wish UK and Britain's Got Talent Magician Jamie Raven.
Jamie was runner up on Britain’s Got Talent in 2015 and he went along to the Smoke and Mirrors magic bar in Bristol to give Dexter a day to remember. The day began with an intimate workshop with Jamie Raven where he shared his magic secrets with Dexter and family. They learnt close up magic tricks like making a handkerchief disappear and a whole host of card tricks.
The family were then whisked off to lunch in a limo, where they met up with more family and friends before all heading back to the Smoke and Mirrors bar for a private magic show with Jamie.
Jamie wowed the crowd and Dexter made a fantastic assistant, helping Jamie to perform some of the tricks on stage.

OK. So they're are a pair of scissors. They don't look like much, I know. These were about 15 pounds about 20-22 dollars something like that depending on when you when you take your your pricing and they're made by a company called Carl Kammerling, which is a German company which moved to Wales after World War 2. And they make specialized equipment for electricians and they're always in these distinct yellow and red colors which you see a lot on electricians equipment of course. A friend of mine had a pair of them and I very much like the feel of them and I took a picture of his pair when I was doing the Tool of the Day Twitter feed with it with a new tool every day. But I thought oh what a luxury to have a pair of scissors which costs you no more than 20 dollars. But I couldn't resist getting myself a set. So I did and I've had a lot more than 20 dollars of value out of them. They're just as great for cutting wires and stripping wires and cutting thick wires and cutting away cable ties and just slipping and cutting away at anything and this size is I just really like the stubby size of them but the weight in the hands and the big chunky the big chunky electrician's grips I know if I cut something live with these I'd probably be all right. I'm not going to try and do that. But yeah it's it's one of only very very few small hand tools that I have that that cost a really reasonable amount of you know that they've been fairly expensive but have again proven that spending good money on good tools is is well is well worth it. And I don't know if you can see but they have a little little notch here I can bring that right up to my camera and obviously that's where you can get a thicker piece of cable and use it for taking the shielding off a piece of shielded cable. There's also a star or a hex head on one side. On the one side and then a big very likely metric nuts on the other side they actually come with their own sort of webbing pouch that I seem to have mislaid because obviously if every tool comes off its own webbing pouch unless you're willing to wear a utility belt like Batman you end up you know sort of putting them aside somewhere and not having it but these stay in my tool box and go travel with me wherever I go and do any work that requires tools.
