What a beautiful day for a hike, also we drove to Overlook Park on Spear Street in South Burlington. The Champlain Valley is a beautiful drive and I recommend any body to come and drive rt 7 into it, and through it.
We live on the foot hills of the great Appalachians here in north western VT, It is so amazing being able to drive into the valley and then back home again.

Mushrooms Expedition on Snake Mountain
Rutland is a scenic little old-fashioned city in Vermont that is home to the Vermont State Fair. It’s also home to a celebrated Halloween parade that was used as the backdrop of the first ever crossover comic book story, a joint project of Marvel and DC Comics back in 1973. But neither Spiderman nor Batman was anywhere to be seen as of yet.
Leaving Rutland, we drove through the gorgeous Vermont countryside with a pit stop at the Vermont Maple Syrup Museum in Pittsford, featuring what is surely the world’s largest maple syrup jug.
Finally, we arrived at Snake Mountain near the town of Addison, VT. But we don’t stay in town. We stayed in a field, thanks to a friend whose family owns the property. The remote location is great for stargazing, as well as luminous poi ball twirling. And deer watching.
The next morning, we begin hiking up nearby Snake Mountain. The hiking trail to the summit was once a stagecoach road up to a hotel that was built in 1870. We hiked up to the top and got a great view of the countryside, as well as some falcons (we think). We also spotted and photographed many, many varieties of mushroom. Didn’t see any snakes on Snake Mountain, though. Maybe the mosquitoes chased them all away.

Seeking a life full of adventure and unique experiences the Gozas are on the Go! In 1992 we sold our house in San Francisco and took the show on the road. We've been in perpetual motion both on stage and off ever since. Having raised our son while traveling fulltime we are now empty-nesters with no intention of ever settling down or stopping in any one spot for more that a day or two. With this channel we hope people like you are inspired to live more and work less.
Currently Dennis and Kimberly are touring the USA in a small RV pulling all their sets, costumes and props for their Act!vated Story Theatre shows in a small trailer behind them.

Hiking a 4,000 Footer in Vermont | Mt Abraham
Hike a 4,000 footer with us in Vermont!
I am road tripping to Vermont to reunite with my partner Richard, who has been working at a summer camp near and dear to his heart all summer long. It's been tough being apart from him for so long, but reuniting is always the best part!
My adventure in Vermont was very fun, and I definitely would love to go back again and do more.
In this video, you'll follow us up a 4,000 footer called Mount Abraham in Vermont. It was a moderate hike located on the long trail. We hiked it on a beautiful, sunny, day and probably could have kept going but instead we hiked back down to get some sandwiches!
If you keep going north on the long trail past the summit of Mount Abraham, you'll find a plane crash a little off trail. Always sad to think about the situation that caused this crash, but it is cool to see nature reclaiming it.
If you are in the Vermont area, definitely check out this hike. Its fairly family friendly, if you hike a lot, easy to do in a short day, and beautiful!
Let me know if you've hiked this before, or if you have any other hikes to suggest!
