Bura Soda Water Spring Pool in Catarman, Camiguin, Philippines
The Bura Soda Water Swimming Pool is located in Barangay Bura, Municipality of Catarman in the Camiguin Island Province of the Philippines. It is the one and only in the country where you can swim to a poll of soda water. The cold water provides a refreshing splash to bathers and picnickers. Picnic huts and tables are available beside the pool. Two large pools are available for both adults and kids. The water in the pool is cold, clear and clean and is maintained on regular basis.
Camiguin being a volcanic island, geothermal activity is active hundreds of feet below the ground. This activity heats up the groundwater and mixes in carbon dioxide gas producing the naturally carbonated soda water. The water comes to the surface as natural spring.
We are an Overseas Filipino Worker Family (OFW) living in Canada. It is our first time to come home to the Philippines after leaving the country six years ago. We are touring the beautiful places in the Visayas and Mindanao areas together with our families. This is part of the documentary of our travels. Philippines Tourist Attraction
