Arrival at Sofia Airport, Bulgaria
Short update about my trip to Bulgaria. Just arrived at Sofia Airport. A lot of taxi drivers queuing for clients. By the way mind the Bulgarian taxis, they've been notorious in the past for the bad treatment of their clients, but I heard that this is not as bad nowadays.
Other than that, in 22:00 its already dark night, but the temperatures are pretty high with 31C as can be seen from the board on the bus stop.

wow! This was a culture shock of a journey! LOL!! Instead of paying about $5-$10 for a bus or taxi, we decided to walk 3-4 miles from Sofia Airport to Sofia City Center! We found a lot of loose stray dogs, which liked to chase us LOL! We found a small boy walking a horse!!! Small baby dogs which had just been born rolling around on the floor! Crazy stuff! and many many other things! Experience the true Bulgaria! haha!!

The Ancient Macedonia tour ended where it began, in Sofia, Bulgaria. We ordered a taxi and made our way back to modern, easy to navigate Sofia Airport for Leg 1; a Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt, Germany. Leg 2 would not be until tomorrow morning, Frankfurt to Chicago on my favorite United Airlines flight which departs around 8:00a and lands in Chicago at 10:15a local time leaving an entire day to settle in back home.
It takes less than 30 minutes from downtown Sofia to the airport when traffic is light which it was today. Tipping advice for taxis in Sofia was to round up the meter difference.
